Any major movements expected in the final week Eds?

Latest news seems to be -
Ins: possibly AMN, possibly Winks, maybe a forward
Outs - McCarthy, Redmond, Walcott, Romeu, Stephens

Maybe max one more incoming is realistic now, hopefully we can shift a few off before the deadline

I would more than settle for that SaintGGsy - getting rid of the deadwood would be a big plus for the dressing room spirit

Whilst I agree in part to moving players on I am also concerned. The players listed probably have the most experience, not only playing but in other aspects of the game. Take Theo he's experienced injury's and only being a bit part player his knowledge alone code be enviable to our young squad through the course of the season.

I wouldn’t like to lose Romeu but I wouldn’t keep Redmond, Walcott and McCarthy on for experience alone given the aforementioned cost of doing so.

It also shakes off the weight of failings and helps to start afresh, plus the experience that Redmond and Walcott have isn’t going to be the most insightful I don’t imagine.

Not as if they’ve won bucketloads or been in relegation battles outside of Saints in their careers.

Their experience is of failing and not producing results! What will the the younger new recruits learn from this? Opinions of a failed person are not the same as a winning person. We do not have older experienced players in the team like a Renaldo, Messi etc… we have very average none achievers, so let us trust in our coaches and the systems and style of play they want to impart on our our players.
I’m all for bringing in fresh new young talent and getting their drive and enthusiasm to push themselves to another level becoming our new culture and DNA.
