A bit of perspective required I think. It was not long ago that we were struggling to make ends meet in league one. our club's future was in serious jeopardy. We came through that.

A lovely chap called Markus bought our club and funded the greatest comeback since Lazarus (he was a chap from the bible. who came back). This was all possible because he gifted us large amounts of cash and we were grateful.

Fast forward a few years and we are in the premier league with the best academy and facilities in the league and some great players. admittedly fewer than we had a couple of months ago.

Money can change people and my worry is that it's not our players but the FANS that have changed due to this. I'm sick of reading petulant dans slating Adam and other players for doing what most of us do in our careers. accept a pay rise. I accepted one the other day and have not received any vitriolic hate from anyone, I was congratulated! I think we have got used to someone opening the cheque book at St Mary's and spoiling us and now that may have stopped. Which is a reasonable thing to do for any owner.

A month ago we sold Ads, SRl and Luke and we all panicked! Les Reed then signed two very good replacements and we some of us calmed down again. Now we have sold a few more and we need to show patience and trust in our board that they too will be replaced. It makes sense to sell players who don't want to be at the club and it makes sense to sell for high prices. It may hurt, but it makes sense.

So can we wait til the transfer window closes before we hurl more abuse at the board or ask for refunds on season tickets please.

If, as many people on here suspect, the club are asset stripping or preparing to sell; then we should really congratulate the board on persuading a footballing legend with a great reputation in RK, to oversee it. Why would he jeopardise his good reputation?

Some fantastic players being linked with us and I for one am excited over seeing which of them join us. I love this club and am not going to withdraw that love because we have hit a bump in the road.

What a lot of rubbish five years ago we had a 32 000 all purpose stadium superb training facilities and a huge fan base hardly a huge gamble marcus god bless him knew that and as a good business man saw a good oppurtunity now further down the line we have average gates of 30 000 sell out all away games best youth system in britain and making millions of pounds every year from sky the reason why players leave here is not down to money it is due to a board who won't pay the going rate for quality players and all the selling and penny pinching will ultimately see us go backwards I love saints and go home and away every week I like thousands more deserve better

Bigcole, you talk about rubbish! It is because of comments like yours we are stirring the emotions of others into this lynch mob mentality. Not going into this too deeply but I would just say that your 32000 seater stadium was not owned by SFC and we were a cat's whisker of going out of business. The consequence of that would have been Saints would have ceased to exist. KL could have got out when her Dad died but she didn't so give her a break and show a bit of respect.
