Did that just happen - very proud to be a Saints fan tonight. It just shows, hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.
Sure, Spurs have more quality running through their squad, but tonight our boys were inspirational. They were braver with the ball and tireless without it.
I think Ralph said that was the best performance in 3 years and I have to agree.
JWP was amazing - if that performance doesn't earn him his place back in the England squad then nothing will.
23 attempts on goal - really! When did that last happen and 52% possession - wow!
And don't let anyone tell you Spurs weren't at their best - the reality is Saints didn't give them a sniff for large periods of the first half.
Spurs have an air of entitlement - and arrogance which I find offensive. So I just loved it, really loved it when we wiped the smug veins off their faces.
As I said, very proud Saints fan tonight!

Absolutely unbelievable. The most Saints performance for 80 minutes, then some magic. The number of times we’ve played better than a good team and not taken our chances - Broja should’ve had a hat trick, Perraud nearly scored a Puskas contender - but we were fantastic, just totally dominating everywhere.

But to then come from 1-2 with 10 minutes to go and score two beautiful headers off of two wonderful crosses, Spurs don’t learn but I do not care about them, that is epic, and if we play like that at OT we will hammer them.

Also, WE ARE IN THE TOP HALF!

I think it’s the best we’ve played since the Wembley final versus Utd. Totally in control of the game. We were all saying Ralph needs to learn, change his tactics etc and he has!
As soon as I saw the team selection i was confident.
The one thing I’ve not seen for years and years is a singer/wing back combination. Perraud and Ely were absolutely unbelievable! Perraud gave his winger and attack, options everytime. An unbelievable performance!
I hate to add, so much quicker and dynamic without Redmond. Tonight showed there is no time for slow attacking and trying to beat your man umpteen times!
