Hi saintK,
This would be a brilliant deal, they player has been excellent this season.
However where has this come from?

Would be very happy if this is true, a natural goal scorer, I maybe wrong in saying this but doesn't he have a complicated co-ownership or something?

4.) 26 May 2014
Has this guy got any pace?

Can't see this happening at all. In fact, I think the days of bidding top money for big players are over. I think the signings of ramirez, wanyama and osvaldo was the reason why I think KL wanted a board instead of cortese in charde if everything. I think the idea is if we are going to keep hold of our top youngsters, we will have to be a bit shrewder in the transfer market. The signings of cork, Clyne, fonte, and j rod are quite good examples of this.
This is just my opinion though. I have no source

This is just on twitter so it probably rubbish but he's insane so just thought i'd put in on here. Saintsmiff, I understand where yor coming from but we will never become a better team if we just buy players for next to nothing

7.) 26 May 2014
Saint k our best players have been bought for next to nothing. Our flops have been overpriced: ramirez £13m
Wanyama £12m osvaldo £15m.
Compare that to Clyne 3. 5, jrod £6, lambert £1m, fonte £2m, Davis free, boruc free, cork £3m?
Just saying "splashing the cash " isn't always the answer.

I agree Saintssmiff although I would say that Wanyama has done well and that Ramirez looks more like he can match the price we paid for him every time he plays, I think he could become a key player if he can have a decent run in the team without injury, I agree with the successful player you have listed to, however to get to the next level we're going to need to sign players that are better than what we have, Lovren for 8m is the type of business we should be doing, underated players that can grow with the club, although there are some cheaper deals which can be just as good, for example Alex McCarthy or Fraser Forster could be good for us and would probably be 2-3m for McCarthy and 4-5m for Forster. I think our biggest successes have been when we sign young English players so I hope that continues too
