Forster's just been announced. Top, top signing that! Decent CB in now and we're looking stronger than last season imo

I think you need to also at the very least add a striker to that list to say better team than last season

CB, winger, striker needed - at the very least.

Koeman confirmed they'd had a bid rejected for Sam Byram, so they obviously think they need a RB too.

A lot of work to be done if they're going to get four (or more) extra signings in before the transfer window shuts, and no chance of having them in place for the start of the PL season - the Liverpool game's a write off if the XI that played today is the best available.

Great signing Forster. We all know we need CB's and i'm sure we'll have one in before Scousehampton game. More likely to be Gardos than Rojo though. priority for me is a top striker and winger. We're terribly weak upfront imo. Hearing we put a bid in for Bony but, I can't see that coming off. Belhanda would be a great attacking threat and we've been linked recently. Not sure if he's still on Besiktas radar though?

I'm still gutted that Fonte has been given the captaincy, as that means he's a guaranteed starter and he's just not good enough. We need two centre backs, a winger and a striker. Forster is a great signing, but Van Dijk would've had a bigger impact. I'm concerned about the Liverpool game, and don't think we'll do as well as last year, but we'll easily stay up and will build under Koeman.

Agree with james Craig about fonte, not good enough, but after watching the game yest, we only have 4/5 who are and one is boruc! Yes Forster is a quality signing but was not as critical as another centre back or striker. Clyne and Bertrand are good enough, but two centre backs needed if we are to push on. Davis is very underrated and is good enough, we don't know about spider as of yet but obviously is good enough, wanyama is not a patch on jack cork and this confuses me as koeman is looking to start wanyama, JWP is good enough but I don't know if it's too early for him week in week out, tadic looks good no where near lallana though, saphic looked very good, Isgrove needs more confidence and will shine, gaston same old doses brill for 5 mins then gets lost, pelle doesn't look good enough, very good at holding up but that's it either needs a partner or shouldn't get into the team, but with jrod out there's no replacement. After yesterday's game going forward especially I fear the worst.

Well I have just been watching some of the You Tube stuff on Florin Gardos he looks class attacking football and some great defending if he takes to the premiership he will be potentially better than some of the "exodus players" this is lining up to be an exciting season
If we box off the Hernandez and Roco signings we should be in the mix and still have money in the bank a great start to the season could make for a cheeky January transfer window.

I have put money on saints marching into Europe next season! Law of Attraction all of the ingredients are falling into place for a very talented and exciting squad of players and a solid manager with footballing pedigree I feel we are taking another step up!

when players talk about getting champions league experience with teams I chuckle as often they are in clubs who play awfully in the competition because the league they play in is not upto the Prem.
the only real benefit for those players is the club makes a bit of revenue.

what are our chances of silverware this year?
league cup FA cup all up for the taking by people who have the desire and workethic to succeed
