On BBC Sport website and read on many sites than Cork is in advanced talks with Swansea, would hate this to be true. Although Depay would be a fantastic replacement, I would prefer to keep our English players and I feel Cork was a real fan favourite.

Depay is a winger so wouldn't replace Cork, although I would definitely like him :) Vilhena is a linked replacement for Cork

The situation with Cork is that first Saints didn't renew his contract soon enough, then in the summer, Saints accepted a £3m bid from Palace, which fell through with the departure of Pullis.
While Cork has proved to Koeman that he is a valuable player, Cork feels let down by the club, and also feels that as Saints continue to strengthen he will get less game time.
Where did I hear this? His wife is friends with friends of mine.

I honestly can't see Cork staying unless there was a big contract on offer, but he also needs regular football - something that we seem to be offering Jack less and less these days.

On a personal note, Jack is settled at Southampton, and loves it, but he feels that he needs to move on to further his career, and to gain regular first team football.

Shame. He's a good player, but a squad player. If he wants to be a regular starter - which, at this stage of his career he appears to - then he's probably right to look elsewhere.

He would never be first choice in any of the midfield roles, IMHO.

Wish him all the best. Saints need to replace him, though, as the squad can't afford to be thinned down anywhere.

All Cork had to do was when given the chance then play that good that Koeman would keep him in - unfortunately we have players that are better. This is no disrespect to Jack. Get the best price as possible if he is determined to go. Puzzled as why Swansea is the preferred choice. Reliable sources are indicating Filipino Djuricic (who can play anywhere along the front line and midfield) is being sought to come in on loan as a view to buy at end of season. He will be a very good addition and a good companion for fellow Serbian Tadic. Yoshida and Mane back and could feature on Sunday at some stage COYR's

jack is a good player and it will be sad to see him go but think that st chris has hit the nails on the head and suspect that saints are already thinking of how we will improve the squad as move forwards
