I thought les reed said fonte could only leave if and when we had a suitable replacement in place. I would scupper his move to west ham until we have and not before he works for us, so we say when and if he goes.

Turnbull has left the club permanently, Stephens and Gardos are nowhere near Prem standard. I'd be looking for someone who's at a similar stage of their career as Virgil was when we bought him, young with a lot of potential. I'd love someone like Ruben Semedo or Mauricio Lemos.

Turnbull went to Coventry in the summer. McCarthy's a good shout but not ready for prem football yet

Yoshida's been every bit as good as Fonte, deserves a decent chance in the first team imo

I agree. If they were they would have already. Isgrove is 24 and has never played. The reason why Shaw and Chambers got first team football is because they were good enough. Unfortunately, they left. I'd like to see Stephens get a chance though.

Hilarious to say that Yoshida is as good as Fonte. I can't understand why he keeps getting a game. Yeah he makes some good tackles. but he makes far too many mistakes. We need a new Cb.

He didn't say a replacement would be in place before Fonte left. We are in a position to replace him because we have time in the window to do so. Will we? Who knows, if we don't I worry that we will struggle for the remainder of the season.
