Bit unfortunate last night. Thought we did really well in the first half. I guess the fixture congestion that occurs at this time of year will always favour the richer teams as they have greater squad depth than us mere mortals, allowing heavier rotation. But, such is life. If you fancy a lift, there's a really good article in the NY times on Saints, a Les Reed interview.

I think we need 3 more players we need another striker as Pelle is our only option we need an attacking cm/winger with goalscoring prowess and another chi who could also rb we need quality options not cover

Yeah, perhaps. We certainly need those in the team at the moment, but remember Jay Rod and Prowsey will be back soon, so effectively a Forward and an attacking Midfielder. I agree we could use another CB. Yosh is okay when given a run in the team, but looks really nervous coming off the bench and I think other teams are capitalising on his nervousness.

We don't know how effective Jay rod will b up top he played off the left last season and I seriously doubt if he will come back the same player his game was based on pace and will he get that back after this injury??? We need a top class striker Ron obviously doesn't rate Gardos who is going to turn out to b another forren

Ings would love to sign for us and come back home

He did, but played as a 'cut inside' wide man rather than an out and out winger. He's a really good finisher, and pre Poch had always played as a striker so he could certainly go back to that role, albeit as a very versatile front man. True, he may lose some pace, guess we'll have to wait and see. Yeah, I saw Gardos in the cup match against stoke and he didn't look a 'ready made replacement', but he may come good. Unlike Forren, he has at least made it on to the pitch. i'm reserving judgement on Ings for the moment, but if Burnley are willing to sell at a bargain price rather than let his contract expire it could be worth it.
