I'm going to have a it of a rant.

I became, along with family members a season ticket holder 2 years ago.
We did this because we enjoyed the football and the way the club were headed, with great players and great expectations.
We also wanted to follow our beloved heroes across the nation to other great clubs and stadia.

Well, I have a few realisations that I would like to share.

To get a ticket for an away game was nighh on impossible due to the policy of the club. We managed to get tickets for 2 away games that we could make. This was due to large ticket allocation for us and lack of so called loyal away supporters wishing to go to far flung corners of England mid winter or at the end of a season when there was nothing to play for.

We are just as disappointed with the policy this year as we would have liked to go to Arnhem FCM and Watford but we're not priority supporters.

Then there is the club. We appreciate that players want to move on to bigger and better things now and then, but, how is it that our club cannot get any player of quality to sign long term contracts and keep them with us to see out these contracts? For example why did Wanyama only get a 3 year deal when we paid 12mil for his services ( bloody stupid by Les Reed ) the press says that he now wants to go and we now cannot stop him! As have nameless players within 12 months

The team that we bought season tickets to watch has all but disappeared.

We have all decided two games into the season that we will not renew next year but will pick and choose our games purely because we do not believe the clubs hierarchy can see what most fans on the terraces can see.

This year is the year that we would want to stay in the prem because of the influx of pound notes next season. Unless the hierarchy understand this and look after the fans and get to grips with the players leaving then I'm afraid I can only see a big demise.

Come on Saints we still love you but sort these issues please.

Downhearted,!

See, I have a few problems with this post. The policy of the club is spot on, fans who followed the club through thick and thin, through League one and the championship, who went to Wallsall and Hartlepool away on freezing cold December nights DO deserve perks over so called 'fans' who've just bought season tickets since we started doing well, so they can say they've been to the 'attractive grounds'. You're moaning about not being priority supporters yet then say you've already decided to not renew your season ticket, all because you're crying over players you want to be at the club not being there, well frankly, you don't deserve to be a priority over fans who go whether we're bottom of league one on -10 or top of the premier league. /endofMYrant

We have been to nearly every game for the last 5 years including away games whilst in league one when we could go. The reason we didn't buy a season ticket before was because we never had a problem getting a ticket.
Problems getting a ticket became apparent whilst doing well in the championship hence the reason for buying season tickets not because we were part time supporters.
Tickets for away games should be on a first come first served basis and not for ( loyal ) fans to buy and then sell on just to get the loyalty bonus.

The Premier League is all about making money for all concerned with the club.
When we were sitting in Division One, membership was free and my brother and myself came to games via Hospitality at around £40 pp.
We got centre seats and excellent food and service.
We were not able to buy season tickets due to work commitments.
Now, there's a cost implication for membership, the same hospitality costs around 5 times as much, and if you end up in a wings section, you HAVE to stand because the club can't implement H & S very well.
The 10,000 or so supporters who turned up in those lowly days, forgotten once the PL returned.
This is called business, we can all moan but its a time waster to be honest.

The only way for us as fans to help our club to become a big club is for us fans to continue to buy tickets to every game and sell out to push the club to expand the stadium to gain a bigger capacity and in turn generate high income allowing us to pay players bigger wages to players in turn attracting higher caliber players to the club and also helping us to keep the quality players at the club. I can provide any doubters proof of this look at Liverpool and Spurs both are building new bigger stadiums to try and help them bridge the gap to the top 4 and help make them more competitive against them. Yes we sell players for big money enabling us to sign replacements but we can't afford the wages for players of the same caliber so we buy players we can develop to become that standard of player. Fans turning there back and not renewing ST is not going to help resolve the issue of the team you paid to watch disappearing.

Yep Romsaint. Exactly like Morgan was on when he tried to force a move last year.

@1x1 if that's the case they'll be on your customer number and you should be entitled to buy tickets earlier

I work more Saturday's than I don't, so I've not owned a season ticket for about 10 years but I've still gone to 25 (probably nearer 35 in league 1/championship) games a season. Those tickets are on my customer number and I'm given the opportunity to buy tickets first, bring up the situation with the club and it should get sorted

My point about the season ticket issue arises from the fact that the club advertise that if you buy one you can get priority to buy tickets to away games. Well that is complete BS . Because the clubs priority is to sell to people who have been to 12 or 11 or whatever the season before . Basically I've got no friggin chance of getting to the 12 or 11 or whatever this season cause I didn't the year before.

DO YOU NOW SEE MY POINT COMPLETELY FRIGGING INSANE.

In past years it was first come first served which allowed all season ticket holders the chance to follow the boys away.

Now it is just the select few same people who all think that because of this policy that they are more loyal and more of a fan than the rest of us.

What utter bollocks

Can't understand how this club attracts so many confused supporters.

We can't stop Victor going? We can, and we have. Media says he wants to leave. So what, the media spout utter rubbish every day of the week.

If Barca came calling with the right offer, all our players would want to leave! Whether they would be allowed to is another matter, so stop picking at every little unsubstantiated titbit and have some faith.
