I read that Southampton have spent the lowest net amount on transfers this window (so far) of all the premier league teams.
I guess last summer transfer window we also held that title.
Interesting.
Maybe it's just compensating for £30 mill training facilities, Cortese and previous debts, but still interesting.

I would like to ask how SFC aim to score goals? If Prlle is injured or suspended who will we hoof the ball up to?

We must sign a proven goal scorer as well as CD. Is Les playing clever and signing an attacker or playing bloody stupid and not signing one? We have had an easy PL start. Heaven help us when we play the big boys .

^ we have at least 2 more strikers than last season. There's absolutely no need to buy another.

What is this obsession with blowing money just for the hell of it? Oh yeah, well turn into Pompey shall we? What happens if we spend 15+ mil on someone and they flop? It'll be 'this board doesn't know what it's doing' 'why did we spend so much wah wah wah'

We spent 7/8 million on Soares AND Juanmi, they should have cost that individually, there's nothing wrong with spending small amounts of money. Especially when you take the financial fair play into account, have a look into how much income the club has vs teams like Sunderland. Then have a look into how much money the Europa league FFP allows you to lose vs the Premier League FFP. Perhaps then everyone might realise that we can't go out and spend 100's of millions and how it's much safer to spend small amounts on 'unknown' players who turn great rather than risking loads on another Osvaldo.

We won't be signing a striker.
One more CD coming in.

This site makes depressing reading these days.
All the negativity doesn't help anyone.

Where is the patience? Koeman has proved his quality last year.
The board has backed the club in a fashion never seen before by Saints fans, and yet all that's posted on here day in and day out is we need more players. Is it fun playing FIFA 15?

We've had an horrendous time with injuries, and we'll start getting players back soon, but all we hear on this site is negative tripe about the board, how they haven't backed the club, or how the Board is asset stripping! The funny thing is, the board has invested in the infrastructure of the club like never before.

What we've seen from Saints so far is a little worrying, but many comments on this site are quite frankly embarrassing!

Someone stated on here that Les Reed has three days to save Southampton's season. Really?

Lets be sensible shall we, and get behind the team. They look like they are lacking a little confidence. Surely the best way to help the side is get fully behind them, starting with tomorrows game.

All you VVD lovers may be disappointed as the odds of him signing have gone from 1 to 5 on to 1 to 2 on in the past week. Bookies rarely give money away and at those odds they would be giving money away if it is a done deal . Bookies don't give money away so there must be some doubt that he is coming to us . Confusing this one as his odds at staying at Celtic sort of confirm he's leaving them.

All very well investing in infrastructure but we need to remain in epl, I don't want is spending silly but there is a fine line and you can see why many fans mention 'asset stripping' there seems no progression whils others are progressing, striker wiseci disagree we have jay rod back who may never rediscover his form and juammi who is not a true striker of sorts, if so surely he would have come on earlier thursday night. Right or wrong I believe something is amiss behind the scenes this seems to add up with rokos demenure , hopefully something will click even a slice of luck will kick start our season coyr
