What are Saints fans thoughts of the season so far? and Where would you strengthen in January?

To be honest disappointed with fringe academy players being ignored. Koeman, however a good job has done is clearly not interested in English youth. Much preferred finishing lower under poch. Other than that we will be ok it's not been good it's not been bad. The defensive frailties are starting to worry me. Should play the best back four regardless of opposition. Cedric, Fonte, van dijk, Bertrand I don't think we will buy in Jan maybe similar to last year see a couple of loans. mid table.

Very worrying even roko has hinted at a relegation battle, must say all boils down to lack of ambition and bargain basement signings, I know we want stability but even in that you have to move forward and progress otherwise in epl you will get left behind.

I'm concerned and worried also, although 3 points off 8th place our form has been poor this year from January 2015. We have been very inconsistent this season, we seem to lack organisation defensively and going forward there is not a finished product.

Looking at how other EPL teams have invested it was going to be a harder league this year. Losing spider is a big miss and I feel the players we brought in over the summer are not an improvement on the what we already had. I think it's going to be a difficult season ahead.

All things considered (J-Rod being disappointing, no Bertand for weeks at the beginning of the season, no Clasie for even longer, still without Forster - who is different class to the other keepers) and still managing to hit 15/20 points faster than we have before, it hasn't been bad, up until the Stoke game.

Even since then apart from the cup game vs liverpoo this 'bad' patch of form hasn't really been that bad. 3 losses and a draw - one of which we were never realistically going to win. So, our 'bad' patch really consists of 2 dodgy losses and a draw. Last season, around the same time, we had a 4 game losing streak (City, Arsenal, United and BURNLEY) and we still finished alright (we also lost vs WBA, Stoke, Sunderland and Leicester) . There's really nothing to get your panties in a twist over yet

As for January - Apparently Demari Gray is a done deal already. Just need to send a few of the youngsters out on loan and bring in a sort of Michael Owen type striker and we'll be good.

Ive also heard this about demerai gray but once more is this really our answer? We desperately need an out and out striker and a creative goal scoring mid.

Whatever our thoughts might be, Saints are in a rut. Schneiderlin is the biggest miss -while he gets splinters at United. Saints need a leader. A Koeman on the pitch. Fonte certainly ain't that. His stock, or at least his form has dropped since Alderweireld left, Forster got injured and Clyne leaving obviously hurt. Our season, as long as we remain in the league, could be considered a success. Big moneypot on the horizon. Need to make St Marys a fortress again. Buy a leader, Ronald. Sod the price!
