Supposedly he wanted 100k p/ w to go to West Ham

Most reliable itk's and journos reckon he's on nearer 80k p/ w with bonuses etc here, still one of the highest earners though.

Getting him for £4 m has saved us probably the same again in buying a different striker so paying him the extra £20 k a week over 4 years will pay for that so no difference really.
David Gold is just gutted that Charlie chose us ahead of wet spam!

What business is it of Gold at all what saints are paying Charlie Austin.
He should be more concerned with what his club is paying sick note Carroll since he has been at West Ham not very good value for money is it no wonder Liverpool got shot of him
