Its interesting once you let your brain absorb all of goings on with Mr Koeman. usually I would analyse the facts and make 2+2 = 4
I think we Southampton fans are hardy characters but this Everton move can only be personal income. its not a move forward. even the thought of £100 million transfer fund is not great. LVG spent £250 million and Martial is the only real success.
Chelsea. how much have they spent in the last 5 years.? Spurs. good job they sold Bale.!
The Everton Team have some good players, but they are not a TEAM. Ego's. sorry not players Lukaka . he thinks he is worth £60 million. Stones, yes has ability but gone backwards.! Then you hear that Ron wants Scott Dann. well good luck with that!
The top 6 Teams are all going to still be in the mix and Southampton - Liverpool - Everton and West Ham will all be attempting a gate crash.
So will Koeman (if he goes there) make such an impact that Everton get Champions League.? I don't think so.
Could he have realistically had a pop at Champions League with Southampton. I think so. Does he want to manage Barcelona. absolutely so other than the £21 million that is spoken about what does Everton offer. even the Northern weather is not as good!
I give up my 2+2 = 3 that's my answer. add that to the 18 = 21.£21 million that is!
Need Beer, its my birthday and I'm confused. com. Pete.

Agree completely. If he stayed with us for another year and he honoured that year, then he was set up for the Arsenal job next season. Now he has taken the Everton job, that probability is now a major doubt unless Arsenal are willing to buy him out of this massive contract that he is supposedly due to sign any day now. I believe this to be highly unlikely as the Arsenal board aren't exactly renowned for throwing their money away willy nilly.
That leads me to the only conclusion I can think of logically - and that is he's lining his pockets but gambling with his reputation as a good manager in the process.
Anyway Ron - thanks for the memories. See ya!

Happy Birthday Pete! Tbh if we get any of the managers we've been linked to, De Boer, Emery or Pelgrini that would be a great addition to the club. To be linked with managers of that pedigree is very exciting!
