The only thing that bothers me if Garcia is appointed our next manager is his lack of experience at the top level. He was very successful at Lille agreed but as we all know the French league apart from PSG is quite honestly no better than the Premiership in Scotland . He did pretty poorly at Roma and was sacked . I just feel that we need somebody who has experience at the top level and hope and pray we are not taking the cheap option because he is available so no compensation to lay out . Pochettino was mentioned as not being very successful at Espanyol but they were a club in financial meltdown and also people like Poch don't come around very often . I think we can do better than Garcia because taking him on is a risk at best . We need a NAME manager if we want to hold on to our best players and attract quality players to the club .

{Ed002's Note - Lille have been a very good side Chris - they have a large stadium and very good support. They regularly play in the Champions League and have a better average attendance than Southampton. They have nurtured a lot of players who have been very successful - Eden Hazard, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Lichtsteiner, Cabaye, Abidal, Payet, Kalou, Digny, Rami etc..}

Plus some managers fit certain leagues and some don't. Luis enrique flopped in italy too before over achieving in spain with celta. I won't comment on his success at Barcelona because I'm pretty sure anybody can do that with the squad they have.

Chrisdownj have you seen how he has signed! Pure quality . All managers can be a risk. Howe and de boer also. Can't see a problem if he is given time.

I agree Strawbs, let's hope the board choose wisely . They haven't got it wrong so far . Just wish we could keep them a bit longer that is my only worry.
