Just read that Jesus Navas has been released by Man City.

Wages may be a problem for us, but as a free-agent and even at 31 I think he could be a good option for us - Pace to burn and maybe the creative injection our team needs? (I'll agree, he's never scored as many goals as he should bu; he could thrive in our team/ system)
Thoughts?

I've always been a fan of Navas. He's quite a good player, as you mentioned his pace would be a great asset. He just darts down the wing and puts in low crosses, which is something we lack (apart from Bertrand) . His level of experience would be an asset, he would add a good level of strength and depth to the squad.

does not meet the business model young talent and future resale profit. I think if we keep VVD or buy good replacement If Ryan goes we have McQueen and target, soares and pied at rb. buy a stiker or promote Gallagher or olufelo we are ok in midfield and on the wings. Forster has a good season and top7 should be ok I think with a cup run-panic over whoever is in charge.

I keep reading on these forums we are ok in midfield? Are people serious here? Romeu is the only nailed on starter. the others all extremely average! Davis getting past it now, WP promises a lot especially on free kicks but never ever hits the target! Boufal great ability needs this season. Clasie never gets played. if we want to push up a level a very important area we must strengthen. 2 we need there! As well as a CB, GK, and a striker! Release Tadic, Davis, Rodriguez (unfortunately) Clasie if you aren't going to play him!

Romeu world class/ reed could be anything/ redmond-needs time but stats are positive boufal needs a fuller season tadic needs a target man Gallagher or like wise hjoberg is technically fantastic and needs time. Jwp has come on a mile this year and needs to add goals Davis is starting to look a little leg weary plus sims etc pushing for a place looks a good midfield to me?
