What bothers me is that after a more promising display against a very below par United the pressure seems to have lifted from MP. Things have been so poor lately that we accepted the result as a good one but still couldn't score and actually produced very little in front of goal. What I think it does show is that we have some very talented players that need putting together as a unit, a team that understands each other and for that we need a manager that can do that. A poor result tomorrow could put us in the bottom three with games running out . One win in 10 games is just not good enough no matter what league you're in. 2 years ago if United had played as poorly as they did the game that we won would have been more comfortable. We need direction but unfortunately we have that but it is in the wrong direction.

I don't think it matters what we want or think because Reed has his vision with MP and they are prepared to give him a time
But I thought we would get beaten badly at Utd but was surprised by The spirit we played the game why can't we play like that all the time for god sake
We have to win tomorrow otherwise MP will be under so much pressure from us fans that his job will be difficult to keep but Reed unfortunately calls the shots
I would like us to kick on and win convincingly but who knows what's team he's going to put out.

Diggy could you please explain what you have against les Reed? You attack him in every single post and I don’t understand why you’re so against him.

As far as MP goes, what do you want? Him fired without a replacement who’s any better in line so we can have a month under a caretaker and then hire someone out of desperation.

If there’s a replacement who makes sense, fine. If not, then let’s give the bloke more than half a season to pull the team together rather than panic.

After the rubbish we have seen this season I would assume the board are aware that they need someone who can put this team back together. If they haven’t realised we really are in the mire.

I think the issue with reed is he has one managers job and got sacked after it was clear he wasn’t up to it. He is one of those people in football who has made a career out of going on courses without actually proving himself. He may be good at his job I and all won’t know unless he left but he isn’t someone fans instantly warm to. Big result tonight and some investment push for a top 10 and solidify in the summer. It’s incredible how bad we have been end of last year and start of this and have so far got away with it.

We have got to keep the faith as fans look at what we did with Puel (and yes I'm as guilty as the next person) who is getting Leicester back on song none more so than mahrez. Just goes to show me that 1 I have learned my lesson in being so impatient and 2 maybe the players we have in our squad are not as good as I or a few others thought at the start of the season.

The team really does need some sparkle players and surely mope deserves this window to find some, Redmond has not improved a tiny bit since we bought him, boufal I believe is getting better definitely has the potential, davo I've been saying for ages adds nothing when he plays, jwp can't stay in the side just for his free kicks and corners which though impressive we never seem to score from, radical well he's just a whingebag with no pace or end product his shooting and finishing is diabolical, long though he tries has never been a sole striker to get u 15 goals a season.

We need to signing some flair players with a bit of pace and creativity I know they're hard to find but I believe more manes are out there and we do need another striker with Austin's injury as for some reason the manager doesn't seem to fancy gabbi. I would go for Walcott for sheer pace and maybe a knockaert though as for a striker I'm lost dembele would be good imo but we know the Scottish league is hit and miss. But that team would like up as:

McCarthy
Cedric
Stephens
Howdy
Bertrand
Romeu
Hojberg
Lemina
Walcott
Boufal
Dembele

With a bench of:
FF
Yoshi
McQueen/ target
Davo
Jwp
Knockaert
Gabbi

Any takers or thoughts.

I think the way Leicester are going it may suggest that the problem wasn’t just CP not being good at his job but maybe many other issues within SFC at boardroom level we are unaware of. I personally would have kept Claude Puel and given him a chance, we should have sold VVD back then and let CP improve the team with the proceeds. Got a feeling Les Reed has a major say in player transfers and if so why doesn’t he leave it to the manager who is the football guy and Les stick to the business side.

None of you have a clue what goes on behind the scenes, let’s stop looking for scapegoats.

SaintDan, Knockaert would be an interesting one actually, there’s untapped potential there. Dembele would be such a good signing, but not convinced we could get him and problem is if we do, he’d very much see us as a stepping stone I think which will cause problems down the road.

Dembele would have got it into his head that he is only good enough for a big club, and I don't think he would have the right attitude to play for saints. I personally think we need to paco alcacer in ashe has proven himself at barca, although he isn't yet good enough for a top prem club. although saints may be a stepping stone for him, he would most likely stay at saints for a couple of years before he goes to liverpool. :| :) :D

:) |3-.
