If there was any truth in the suggestion that Chelsea wanted Pelle - What about a swap for Loftus-Cheek. what an understudy to Jose Fonte and poetical partner to Van Dyke. Chelsea can afford to let one of the 60 youngsters they have go and they get a very solid player for their squad.

isn't Loftus-Cheek a midfielder?

loftus cheek won't be an understudy as he doesn't play CB.
I feel as if pelle would only leave southampton for the serie a, but the persuasion of conte could prove crucial nevertheless.

My mistake - I just thought watching him play for England U21 he moved like Van Dyke and he's a big bugger. rather like Rio Ferdinand. got back well and moved through the field well, powerful and box to box looked good. Would be a good acquisition in my opinion.

The only thing with Virgil is he doesn't get back . His only fault though but being a central defender that is his job? He is almost a very top, top player but must not forget his defensive duties which I am afraid he does sometimes when he believes he is a centre forward on corners .

I think you would find VVDs defensive stats one of, if not the best in the league. RK is dutch, he understands how total football works. When VVD goes forward usually wanyama, bertrand, or some other player would take his place. And when VVD ventures forward its not an effort in vain and usually has impetus. He has very good ball control and passing for a defender and physically adept as well. He's not a david luiz that's for sure.

I think the biggest concern is the fact that the Koeman to Everton has reappeared surely we should ensure he sees out his last year if he doesn't want to sign a new deal. The transfer fee would be negligible and Under Armour would expect some stability. IF it was to a big club I could understand it but Everton peaked at 4th about 8 years ago a big club? They will lose Lukaku for 30m ish and Stones probably for the same. So major rebuild required if he is seriously considering it we must be a stepping stone at best to all in Football.

There has been a load of bets placed today which have shortened his odds to move to Everton.
He is now favourite.

Y would anyone pay much more than 39m now he has stated he wants to leave seen 65 m banded about let me think is he as solid as Suarez 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂NO not half as good as when he left liverpool.

So suarez is the transfer value marker now? Its what the club values that player at and lukaku has scored many premier league goals and is still a young man with I think 3 years left on contract. 30m you having a laugh? since were playing the compare a player game. david luiz fifty mil/ Lukaku 200m, that is nonsense sorry. he states he wants to leave, but he's under contract. He also stated he would not push a move through (but belief in that is another question) Manchester united have finished lower than a fair few clubs since ferguson left, are those clubs that were higher than united better and bigger clubs? No they just finished higher than them on a short term basis. can't believe people think Southampton are a bigger club than everton haha.

Didn't say they were a bigger club than Everton actually don't think they are a big club apart from on the south coast but they are an established premier league club. Have progressed year on year for the 5 or 6 and keep discovering talent. I used suarez as an example as a basically rubbish liverpool team challenged for the title with him in it. Everton with Lukaku have not. If someone pays 60M for him and 20-25 is not his wages there really is more money than sense in football, going by that Kane must be 150 M plus as a benchmark.
With regards to Everton- have and always will be a reliable top 10 team, I believe they peaked at 4th in the last 10 years so hardly a massive step up and will always be the smaller team on Merseyside. Just a fact, history makes big teams not money or stadia so would take a long time to change the perception of non Evertonians.

No personal attacks on southampton every fanbase is similar, infact people are the same in life, me myself at times. I see it more like thethe potential of the next two years is more rellevant than the last two. Plus I've been defensive in the same way previously. Just that I read the post over and it seemed a bit more antaganistic than intended. Things change so quickly, we were top 4 contenders than jokes and now people are saying money talks about everton. Crazy stuff.

Everton are rich with history. Such a condenscending person. Who says I was soley speaking to you, are there not other fans on here. Everton would be a step up for koeman. He would have much more room and potential and funding for development. Everton are a bigger club than southampton. Last ten years we've been the better, the next ten years we will be the better.

If you spend 100m on your current squad that should close the gap to a level par with Saints for next season. Koeman probably no better or worse a tactician than Martinez who you all raved about till last year so unless he got more stupid assume it is the players and not the coach who cause the issue. Staplewood is the model for a training centre and cost 35-50m to develop depending on which report you read, although land probably cheaper up there. Everton may in time finish higher than Saints with Koeman's guidance and massive investment however will always be inferior to the Red half in everyone's eyes except the blue ones which are misty with time. If he goes good luck we have clearly shown a lack of ambition and you have showed him the MONEY to coin a phrase. You will only be a stepping stone to a BIG club though which is probably 8-10 in Europe. If he does what he did for us for you he will be gone sooner rather than later. Still it may move you in the right direction temporarily.
YNWA rather than Z cars.

I've just heard that PNE are trying to scupper this deal and appoint RK themselves. They've stated that they've seen the Everton claims that they're a bigger club because a few decades ago they were quite good and won a couple of trophies, and have pointed out that if that's the criteria they are a bigger club than both. The Oystens are reported to be gutted that they filled their vacancy so quickly as they also have more history than both clubs, and had they known the proper criteria for assessing how big a club is, they would have approached RK themselves. I think Greece are looking for a more influential EU role due to their "history. "

Blue-tit, you really couldn't have picked a more appropriate username.

You think your clever but that whole post was just a failed effort and a waste of time. Youve finished higher than us twice. We have finished above liverpool in seasons gone past and I was under no delusions that liverpool were and are a bigger club. With or without koeman everton will be more a successful club and have been.
