Great result against NUFC especially when you take into account that we had our best 3 players missing. Let's hope that Elia carries on scoring. He could be the answer as far as another striker is concerned.

Yeah what a fantastic performance by Elia and Pelle with his hold up play. the thought of Elia and Mané both playing on the wings at some point later in the season seems an exciting prospect.

How unlucky is pelle at the mo! How many times has he hit the woodwork lately. not doing my fantasy points any good either. He still puts in a shift tho. it will come good. We march on!

Fantastic result. Would've been happy with a point after such a tough week and so many key players missing.

It wasn't always pretty - hopefully the fluid, attacking football will return in time for the home games with Palace and Swansea coming up - but they got the job done, banked the points.

Elia was a revelation. Knew he was pretty quick and had some skills, but I was surprised at how strong he was. He muscled his way out of trouble in a way Mane and Tadic never can. If he can keep his head (and history doesn't do him too many favours in that respect) he could turn out to be a hell of a signing.

I thought Harry Reed was excellent as well. He's really stepped up whenever the boss has called on him and I think he's got a very good chance of making it as a top Premier League player. Energetic, feisty but with a decent tactical appreciation; calm and unfussy on the ball. Quietly impressive.

42 points. Staying up. It's almost like the professional experts are no different from any old random person.

It was a very professional performance from a player the majority of us, myself included, were not sure about. Two shots on goal and two goals, not a bad way to start your account at Southampton!

Yes must agree Reed looked very good and is gradually getting more and more confident as each game he play's. Reminds me of when we had to play Shaw too often in his earlier day's but he grew and matured very quickly.
Believe we still need cover for Clyne and a backup keeper who will be prepared to sit on the bench most of the time!

Not alway's been Pella's best supporter but must say he was superb today and played very well.
