Does anyone know any injury updates and expected returns of J Rod and JWP, also what's happened to Gallagher?????

I saw a preview for the Stoke game on the BBC which listed Gallagher as having an ankle injury. I don't remember seeing anything official from the club about it, though.

Physioroom says it's a knee injury and that no date has been set for his return. The same site says JRod and Prowsey will both be back in December.

Made it hard work tonight at Stoke when we had the game won. Good result but I think RoKo will be not very happy with the way we tried to lose it. Gardos looked pretty dodgy but he hasn't had much match time so I am sure he will get better. Forster looked very unimpressive again, don't see how most of you don't notice it. Matt Targett was excellent and Pelle was just tremendous, without him we would not be in the next round. We need to just learn how to shut the game down. Really bad challenge by Crouchy can't see why it wasn't a straight red.

It's not a case of 'not seeing it'.
It's a case of getting behind the team. We are doing well and now is the time to cheer on our players and help them all grow in confidence not write them off over a few flaws that can be worked out in training.

Re: Gallagher

He picked up a knee injury in pre-season but it didn't seem to be too serious. He was back training with the first team and turning out for the u21s before the last international break (2-3 weeks) ago.

From his twitter, however, it appears he's had to have surgery on the knee (last week). Hopefully not the dreaded ACL injury, but I guess he's going to be out of action for some time.

Also, with Forster, you got to remember he's only been playing in the premier, or against premier league opponents, for a couple of months now. It's a different standard down here to in the SPL. He probably just needs a little time to adjust and get out any flaws he has in training, at least he's got the stuff that you can't train into people, size and reflexes. Also he has kept the most clean sheets and has the best shot to save ration in the EPL so he can't be doing that much wrong.

Never said he won't be an excellent keeper but we paid 10 MILLION POUNDS for him so he should already be the finished article. Poor at coming for crosses and because of his massive frame finds it difficult to get down quickly. Keepers like De Gea, Llorris and Marshall would have saved N'Zonzi's goal, watch it again and you will see he is a split second late going for it. His ability to come for crosses is the most worrying thing, he came out flapping a couple of times last night and was only saved by Clyne and Targett. Quoting save ratios means nothing as he has had more than 50% less shots to save than any other keeper. The reason he has this statistic is due to our formidable back four. Don't accuse me of not getting behind the team because that is simply not true, am I the only one that thinks this way ? Quite a few of my fellow season ticket holders in the Kingsland think similarly to me, so it is our opinion not a vendetta. The worrying thing is that we do not have a top class 2nd keeper so there will never be pressure on him, I just hope that he improves soon as the big boys are coming soon and then we'll see his true ability. Honestly hope I'm wrong.

People need to stop with the mindless Forster bashing, he's a great keeper and has kept us in front in games this season.

Pro 'keepers will tell you it's a lot harder to keep concentration when you're not faced with many shots so the save ratios are still a good reference.

He was a bit dodgy coming off his line vs Stoke but when you watch it back and see their players constantly blocking him it's easy to see why. It's not just as simple as ''oh he's 6 foot 7 and 16 stone he should just push them out of the way'' cause if he does that, he gives away a penalty. Every other time I've seen him this season (and yes I make it to most games at home and watch a live stream of away games/home games I can't make) he's been decent at that.
He's incredibly vocal, gives clear instructions to the back 4 and gives them confidence - that is how you boss your area.

Best defense in the league and people moaning about the keeper? These are probably the same people who moaned all summer. Just enjoy it.

You could not be more wrong, just appreciate that people have different views. I am and always have been totally 100% behind whatever happens at SFC. I always have been, I have disagreed with many things that have happened before but I am a true supporter who has lived through the good and the bad and sat there watching Cheltenham in the cup when it was -2 degrees when most other people were tucked up warm in their living rooms. I really care about our club that is why I have my own opinion and I don't think there is anything wrong with that.
