I think a suitable solution to the Vvd situation is maybe we should send him out on a seasons loan. I hear those scousers are looking for a cb, it would suit both parties he could get game time and we could offload the money grabber, a player you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy to a team that is our worst enemy.

Why would we do that?

I'm a Liverpool fan, yes please 'burden' us with him!

After all that has gone on between both clubs that would be a wonderful idea.

I don't get why we'd loan him, especially to another PL team. Only reason I can see is if we were offered a very good package which made it financially smart, but unless this happens why wouldn't we just make him train with the kids until his head is on straight. Do people honestly think that after September 1st it would take VVD long to realise his only option is to play and play well?

Loaning him to another PL team is the worst of both worlds surely.

The VVD saga is the exact same situation as Morgan, he wanted to leave. But we managed to keep him on another season and he went about it in a professional manner and he eventually got his move to Utd. Who is to say that Liverpool will get CL football next year. They haven't been in the CL since they finished second 4 seasons ago now. That's not the best move for him. I'm hoping he sits down with the manager and gets this all sorted out.

Virgil Van Dijk should go to Everton rather than their Merseyside rivals in red. The Ronald Koeman connection and for the way Everton are building, and would certainly fit their very ambitious plans. He also could or should go to Arsenal, Manchester City or perhaps Chelsea. Liverpool desperately need to fix their defence, but I don't think it's the lack of players, it's in my opinion hugely down to Jurgen Klopp's approach/ tactics. Van Dijk could join the Anfield club and they could still leak goals ten-a-penny.

He's been brilliant as a player for the Saints. We took him from Celtic and made him an even better player, so I don't mind him making another step forward. Just hoping, due to the poaching reports, LFC would have to pay bigger bucks to get him. Circa £100m

Oh, how I laughed when Klopp's army (such as some of the comments Micky Quinn said on Talk Sport) began moaning because of Barcelona trying to steal their Phil Coutinho. It's alright for them to take VVD from (little) Southampton but still expect the Brazilian wonder to stay when mighty Barcelona come calling. Proves the proverb; The big fish eats the little fish.

If/ when Van Dijk does leave the club, I'd like to replace him with someone like Ben Gibson (again, I think we've been loosely linked with him recently) or perhaps we are already there with (reaches for that dictionary. ) the new Polish lad, Stephens (Stephens for England! ), Yoshida (amazed how much he improved last season and started to look like he belonged at this level. I like him! ) and this season's "one to watch" (according to something I read somewhere this week) Alfie Jones. Plus, don't forget of course we still have Florin Gardos too.

All's good. We're in the Premier League and looking bright.
