It might just be me but I have been hugely impressed by the performances of Matt Targett the last few games and I am starting to think that his future might be as a LM instead of a LB. What do you guys think?

I thought we'd been playing Bertrand at CB with Cedric and Targett as wing backs? At least that's how it looked vs Watford.

Yup Bertrand played as a centerback, with Target a fullback in both Watford and Baggies games.

Either way without the responsibility of defending he's looked good going forward.

Two really good performances from Saints - its the two clean sheets in a row that will have the management happy - you only need one goal if the oppo can't score. We have created loads of chances and even during our poor results run we still looked likely to score goals, but we were a bit soft at the back. The current 3 + wingbacks seems to be very solid - let's have a look against Martial and Rooney next week.

I don't think FF has really had a save to make yet - but I think he adds a feeling of confidence to the team compared to Steklenberg. I feel sorry for Gazza - he did not get a long enough run in goal I feel.

So its only just past the half way point and two more wins out of the next 3 games gets us into European slots.

Hopefully the bipolar fans can stop throwing carp at the management and business sides of the club and start supporting again.

Targett with Bertrand to cover him, Cedric with Virgil to do the same. Great way for them to build confidence and develop. Could be a masterstroke from RoKo.

I think if we keep playing this way then another CB is a must.

I still think one more CB is a must gardos coming back but I think yoshida is a poor rb option and don't think he's right to play in a 3 CB line up.

Suspect a CB will be a summer priority. We do need cover and time to start thinking about how much longer Jose can continue, and remain free of injury.
