McCarthy in goal, I've never rated him but at least Still is started to realize what all the previous managers already learned, that Bazuna just doesn't cut it. Hopefully this will lead to a decent keeper signing in January.

Stewart starting which is something I've been hoping for, a long with Armstrong who is proven at this level. Hopefully it's the combo we need ?

Unusually I find myself agreeing with you Lesleee!

Can’t Kick gets the nod over Can’t Catch - in football terms the ultimate rock and a hard place.

One day, one of our forwards will do what they get paid for. Hopefully that is today!

Felt today was a positive step in the right direction, though gutted to not get the 3 points.

Others feel the same?

It was better, but not by much. We hardly troubled their keeper and we were far too slow with the ball. We just don’t look like we will ever score enough goals to win a football match.

Manning works hard but is not a left wing back - we offer nothing down the left flank. That said, he’s better than his counterpart for Borough. Boy am I glad Targett’s free kick struck the post and didn’t go in.

SaintThat - I feel as gutted as you but playing a bit better than dire (as we were against Hull) is scant consolation.

Still no nearer to knowing the best XI and neither is Boy Still.

It is small steps in the right direction in my opinion. Wood Charles were excellent yesterday backed up well by Edwards Quarshie Jander, it means the spine of the team is so much stronger. Manning did ok in the floating left back/ wing back . Fellows was, for me, our biggest threat of creating a chance in the opponents box but I would like to see a few more far post crosses to Stewart who picked up some interesting positions during the game. AA looked sharp until he has time to think then it goes wrong. Azaz was better but I’m not sure he fits the team but time will tell.
I would like to see the exact same team for the next 5 games, injuries allowing, to see if some consistency could be gained.

I understand you Millertime. We should not be overly excited about 4 steps back but 2 steps forward. We are where we are.

Seems it will take Still 10+ games to figure out his best 11. We can kiss goodbye to automatics but 10th after 15 games, 7th after 30 and playoffs by the end is on the cards.

Should have been 3-1 today if Azaz and Quarshie took their chances.

Look at Sunderland. 4th in the champ, now 4th in the Prem! Anything is possible!

Agree @2408. Let's give Saturdays team a good run of games.

I would like to see Robinson and Scienza given a real shot too, so we fine tune the starting 11.

If we can start to climb the table, build some confidence and get the fans back on side then I believe our squad depth will give us a real edge over the winter months.
