I really highly doubt that will be the case, likely the opening offer from West Ham not what Southampton value him at.

I personally think Fernandes should be in the deeper role instead of Downes, just hope we get someone in as a good CAM, hopefully Rudoni and Spertsyan and play 1 striker with 2 cams.
