Saints sign Cáceres. I hope it works out for us come next weekend.

He'll be the new Dave Watson for us.

OK. Yes - it has been a frustrating season. Frustrating because we've not won games we have dominated.

We've not scored enough goals despite having the most proven strikers ever in our squad.

We've rarely looked outplayed. The cup final showed how good we can be.

Let's not forget we lost Pelle and Mane, who were outstanding goalscorers, and goal providers and lost VVD for the final third of the season.

I think we need a strong CF (like Pelle) who can cause chaos in the box with their height, and laying the ball off to others.

Puel needs another season I think.

Also, what was all that rushing out early and booing going on after the final game? We're supposed to be club supporters not petulant children! Some of our players ran their socks off for us this season (Romeo, Yoshida, Davis, etc. ) and we booed?!

I think we played better at our away fixtures, which I believe reflects badly on the home support.

Our achievements, despite the knock backs of previous seasons, show the strength of our club, and how it's run.

Step up and support our club! We March
on - maybe after stuttering a bit;)

3 things:

1. Good luck to Pelle in his future in China. A genuine gent, a great servant to SFC, a brilliant front man and never with a hair out of place.

2. Welcome to Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, who looks like a very exciting addition to our squad, and of whom is expected great things

3. Congratulations to Jose and Cedric in their amazing result in the Euro finals. an example of where a team can outdo the team with the best individuals (on paper)

Onwards and upwards. COYRs!

If I could press agree more than once. where's my golden buzzer.

Sorry to see Morgan leave after 7 years. A great servant to the club and a truly sublime, intelligent, skilled professional, who was so effective without ever looking as if he was trying. I wish him well.

Where's Wanyama? I've not seen him, or heard his name mentioned in any of the pre-season preparation. Anyone?

1.) Been getting sent off for kenya last I heard lol

2.) African cup of nations

3.) International duty Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Well NS I'm not surprised either, although I suggest it is the lack of atmosphere at St Mary's, coupled with the (apparently) acceptable bad habit of some of supporters booing/ heckling our own players. I'm sure that if everyone sang, cheered and supported the lads - we'd be 5 places higher up the table!

Still. Free Prawn Crackers at every home game - so it can't be all bad.

Are you sure it was him? Did he have a shirt on with his name and number on the back? 😉.

And no Lemina, nor Redmond on bench. I assume we'll see Cedric and Yoshida Saturday.

I feel sorry for Clasie. Started out getting an injury and never really became part of the starting 11. After getting acclimatised to the Prem, I thought he played well - quick thinking and a good passer of the ball. I hope he gets a good club to fight for. Top man Jordy.

Surely if VVD is fit, but refuses to play, he's in breach of his contract. Do we have to pay him? Mmm. Not sure that that would help this situation!

Some sources are saying that we're awaiting Coutinho's departure before offering LFC VVD for £80m. I'd take that for the unprofessional Dutchman - thanks very much!

I'm not sue what chrisdownj expects. Maybe the Board should run everything past him before he renews his season ticket? Or maybe SFC should publish a manifesto outlining what they're be doing in the close season, giving our competitors a heads up on our targets enabling them to gazump us?

There are some good posts here - sometimes, but mostly it's a glass half full pessimists.

Saintdan16. What are you talking about? What do you know about what goes on inside the club, and how it's run?

Sacking Puel immediately after the last kick of the ball? Get real. Making rash decisions based on your frustration. Sounds like a good strategy. Not.

As for Davis. He is a work horse. That's exactly what he's there for. All teams have them and he's good at it (most of the time) .
We had a disappointing season in terms of performances, but we still finished in a good position. The club has reacted accordingly and is going through another change to improve all these things - yet it is not enough for the moaners. It never is.

Supporters of the clubs below us can't believe all this 'supporters' negativity regarding the Saints, and that they wish their club were as well run as ours.

Stay calm and support the Saints!
