Bye Bye Ralph at the end of the day your system is not working so come on saints do the right thing and get rid for a fresh start next season, and please take Long, Redmond, Walcott and McCarthy with you

I am sure all saints fans wish Tino a speedy recovery, he has been one of the bright spots in an underwhelming season, the big question now must surely be will JWP stay with saints or see his future elsewhere, whilst as again I would love him to stay if he does then he could possibly regret not try to get to the very top level ., Moving on does not always work out well and in the past players like Matt le tissier have probably benefitted from staying loyal and becoming club legends .It will be interesting to see where we are at the end of the season and what delights the transfer window may hold

So Forster will leave in the Summer. He’s done his best (although he must have felt at times like facing a firing squad behind our comical central defenders.I hope that SFC haven’t dropped the ball again in extending McCarthy’s contract as he is only regarded as backup.Congratulations to Eddie Howe and.his Coaches for achieving the turnaround at Newcastle Utd and rescuing them from almost certain relegation to halfway up the Premiership to safety in the short term since he took over in the relative short term since November while Southampton FC have continued to plummet in the opposite direction. We know that Eddie waited patiently.in the wings awaiting his dream job managing the Saints but despite very average results he was overlooked in favour of continuing with Ralph HASSENHUTTL.I cannot help but wonder if this will prove to be a fatal mistake by the Club especially. at this late stage of the season (with nothing to lose)when Ralph leaves deserving young players on the bench in favour of much older players who havan’t performed in addition to those who have noticeably lost half a yard in pace.We understand that not much can be done about the Central Defence until Summer transfers but Ralph STILL apparently does not know his best team to date regularly changing and fiddling ( like Nero) with team selection while the Club burns!

Well that was a very disappointing performance yesterday, we were well and truly second best for the whole 90 minutes, whilst I realise that anyone can have an off day for so many players to do so at the same time is surprising. Was the reason overconfidence or missing two key players in Salisu and Walker Peters. We appeared too be out thought and outfort a combination that was never going to end well, hopefully Ralph has the remedy in mind before the next game as it would be sad to see the seasons efforts fizzle out now

Great performance against a spurs side who are arrogant and not as good as they think they are .I believe we would have won at home as well had we not had a sending off. Hopefully we can play the same against a somewhat indifferent man utd, and if we can have the same passion then we have a good chance of making it a memorable week

Wow what a great point a real backs to the wall performance credit to all the players and I am the first to admit that Ralph got it right, it also helps to have a goalkeeper that looks the part and I hope that he keeps his place for the rest off the season

Great point In the circumstances Norfolk Saint and a real tonic as we set up for Newcastle (Covid permitting).

However, not so sure on your assessment of Forster! He’s just as likely to cost us the game as he is win us the game. One top drawer save and one absolute howler which was fortuitously disallowed by Mr Taylor.

Hopefully, with a run of games his confidence and form will return but we desperately need a new GK.

Help can anyone explain how one of our reserve players olungenwa is allowed to leave us presumably not good enough and then is signed by Liverpool, has the management at Liverpool seen something our lot have missed

His contract had run out and he didn't want to sign a new one with us.

{Ed001's Note - and he is only there to pad out the squad as a lot of players went on loan. It is a chance for him to earn more than simply an U21 place, but it is not expected.}

Today we played a Tottenham team who will be top four this season so to lose was no great surprise, what does worry me is Ralph does not seem to know exactly what system or team selection he is happy with, all this chopping and changing is non productive. If the owners are considering change I would suggest that I it happens sooner rather than later

Next Wednesday is the Fans Forum at St Mary’s looks like it is going to be a very uncomfortable and lively debate. Be interesting to see how Ralph is capable of restoring confidence, I think not .

McCarthy should be nowhere near the team, how many chances do these players get before the management see what is obvious too us fans, still need to see some big commitment from the new owners

Thank goodness that season is over, what at one time looked so promising dived to a very low ebb with not a lot to build on .If Fraser Forster has played his last game for the club I for one would like to thank him for his efforts, assuming he is going must priorities a new keeper as our number one objective closely followed by a proven premier League striker and a creative midfielder as for the manager the board look like giving him more time but unless he changes his ways of always playing his favourite players regardless of form we are doomed to failure, looking forward to a summer break and ever hopeful that next season will be better

There’s been other managers I wasn’t the best fan of, but Ralph is the first that I lost total faith in.
One final little story that sums up Ralph being out of his depth and quite simply ‘a fiddler’
We played a top team, he played 5 across the back . it stopped the rot in that we didn’t concede loads of bias .
Next game, bottom of the league, maybe won 2 and conceded dozens .

Yepp, you guessed it, he played 5 across the back . and we lost

Well that sums up where we are at lost to a virtual Liverpool reserve side whilst being totally outplayed .Where is the passion, I realise that we were already safe from relegation but surely that should have allowed us too have a real go .All we managed was four shots in ninety minutes compared to their twenty four .As supporters we can only wait to see what the summer brings but right now we are miles away from the top teams as Nd unless things are sorted out next season will not go well

Redmond once again back in favour, so much so he played him left back!

To quote my Liverpool mate ‘disappointed with saints, they didn’t even try’ …

I agree with south hants Rich although I think we could have used five subs with it being a cup game,l wish we had started with Che Adams instead of Adam Armstrong, not sure about Broja he seems to have lost his spark at the moment, happens a lot with young players who start to believe all the publicity around them

Totalling agree Hopi back to winning ways next week, also a good looking cup draw it would be great to have a decent cup run this season.

According to the press Josh Sims is back and training with the saints not sure however if he is in our premiership squad, could be an option if he is.
