A much better performance against a poor man u side, we deserved at least a draw but we're let down by the same old defending mistakes, what on earth was going on for the last goal , with time running out and big Paul on surely the ball should be first time straight down the middle, great to see sulemanda absolutely roasting the full back and with a calmer finish we could have had more goals, once again poor substitutions have let us down, onwards to Sunday and hopefully a good result will follow

If and when we get a new manager is there any chance that we could please play our best players in their right positions it is unbelievable that KWP AND BELKA KOTCHER can't find a place in our team whatever differences they have with the manager must be put aside for the good of the team

No excuses RM had most of pre-season to formulate his strongest x1 (and obviously still doesn’t know today) .Perhaps he was also blindsided by persistently shoe-horning Stephens in the starting line up.Anyway perhaps Russell will engage Jack to carry his bags to a new destination! Keep On Marching!

I Can't believe that any Manager worth his salt would have sent that team out tonight , to try and win a Derby game with no strikers is beyond belief, and yo compound this we end up with 3 so called strikers on the pitch .you couldn't make this up

Well done and another win the only downside this week is the Ross Stewart situation, I just hope that we don't buy another striker in a panic, one I would quite like is Baily Cadamatari who is a young lad but shows a lot of potential

Where was Ross Stewart tonight not even on the bench, have we bought another dud and if so do we go again in the transfer window, as for the game our lack of a second goal left us vulnerable as previously, whilst our league position is good it could be so much better if we had won games rather than draw ie Rotherham and Huddersfield, if we do go again in the window who will leave to make room in the squad

Please do not bring back Russell Martin with his one dimensional football it clearly doesn't work and his slavish devotion to his chosen favourites regardless of form would only lead to failure once again

Well the inevitable has happened , now is surely the time to dispense with the manager, get the new guy in and let him experience what players we want to keep and which to dispatch, a root and branch clear out is needed with no looking back to players who have had there chance and not proved good enough, with the parachute payments we should have enough to do well in the championship so let's draw a line and get ready hit the ground running

Juric gone. Surely have prime target for new manager, if it’s Rohl then Wednesdays season is over try and get him in before end of season. Offer Wednesday one of our up and coming youngsters on loan free for next season, give Rohl 4 months to sort out the squad before start of season.
SR must be proactive, get the sales done quickly and have a settled squad for August.

2.) 08 Apr 2025 03:28:08
Good post Norfolk Saint - Agree 100%.Fingers crossed Rosenior and Rohl remain preferred Candidates.Hey Millertime! hope this latest news is. like music to your ears (assuming you haven’t converted to “AUSSIE RULES”)!

3.) 08 Apr 2025 06:19:22
I haven't seen his name mentioned anywhere but surely Steve Cooper is worth a look at. I think he would be a great fit for the club.

4.) 08 Apr 2025 08:16:46
SaintKenny I also believe that Steve Cooper certainly deserves to be in the mix for. Consideration. following the two favourites. KOM.

5.) 08 Apr 2025 15:23:53
What about Gary ONeill?

6.) 08 Apr 2025 20:55:34
I like O'Neill. I think he was hard done by with Wolves and put the wheels in motion for Bournemouth. But to history with Portsmouth to be our manager!

7.) 08 Apr 2025 22:53:35
I can very much see us waiting until we are officially a Championship club if we go for a Rohl, in order to save £500k. When in reality, building for next season now, starting early in the market, getting good deals, and possibly going back up, would earn several hundred million.

Spors at least seems to be no nonsense, get on with it, we’re doing it this way, as opposed to the meandering of the past three years. Five years ago I never would have guessed Saints, Portsmouth and Wrexham would all be in the same league but looks like we’re headed that way!

I have watched the game tonight both live and then on tv, I also listened to RM on the radio, this man is deluded we have so many weaknesses in the team and make actions that lead to disaster time after time but according to RM we played well and troubled Chelsea on several occasions, my view was that Chelsea were totally in control and could/ should have scored many more goals, as for our so called captains sending off I have never seen anything like it in over 60 years of following the saints, surely now the powers that be must act to end this man's delusional reign over out great club, he now rates with Branfoot as our worst ever manager

Any update this morning from anyone in the know regarding board meeting taking place? 2408 is Martin gone yet? Better hurry as think WH abd Wolves maybe sacking also today

2.) 06 Dec 2024 21:45:34
Unfortunately there is no change. Sports Republic seem to favour giving RM at least until the end of the season and will probably trust him to get Saints promoted 25/26 season. For me, this is a foolish plan. A head coach/ Manager has to have numerous tactical variations to be successful in the premier league. The sale and purchase of numerous players every 12 months is going to make choosing a settled team for more than 20/30 games very difficult.
The best teams year in year out don’t make more than 3/4 changes to personnel every 12 months.

Martin out now get Robbins in at least he has the knowledge to read a game and change if he needs too

Could Saturday game be a battle to not be sacked for both managers whilst I always want the saints to win it Could be a blessing in disguise if RM were to go with managers of the proven Premier league status such as Moyes and the ex Brihton /Chelsea gut currently out there

I agree with south hants Rich although I think we could have used five subs with it being a cup game,l wish we had started with Che Adams instead of Adam Armstrong, not sure about Broja he seems to have lost his spark at the moment, happens a lot with young players who start to believe all the publicity around them

Totalling agree Hopi back to winning ways next week, also a good looking cup draw it would be great to have a decent cup run this season.

According to the press Josh Sims is back and training with the saints not sure however if he is in our premiership squad, could be an option if he is.
