Whilst mentioning the calibre of Patrick Viera - I for one would be very happy if he was considered by SFC for the top job at ST.MARY’S for next season. ( HERE’S HOPING)!

Thanks for your support Rich and I’m sure Millertime will feel the same-it’s just a pity that all three of us have extended our hope and belief for some three years before finally succumbing to reality,

Poor sub-standardspectacle.The game swung in Crystal Palace’s favour in the second half following their astute substitutions which lifted their game.Patrick Viera was obviously aware that.Bednarek was having another nightmare game and sent on Zaha to capitalise on this weakness - AND HE DID. That is TWO ROOKIE COACHES who have DESTROYED US within TWO WEEKS of one another BOTH from teams BELOW us in the League at the time So where do we lay the blame next to deflect criticism? SAY NO MORE!

So Forster will leave in the Summer. He’s done his best (although he must have felt at times like facing a firing squad behind our comical central defenders.I hope that SFC haven’t dropped the ball again in extending McCarthy’s contract as he is only regarded as backup.Congratulations to Eddie Howe and.his Coaches for achieving the turnaround at Newcastle Utd and rescuing them from almost certain relegation to halfway up the Premiership to safety in the short term since he took over in the relative short term since November while Southampton FC have continued to plummet in the opposite direction. We know that Eddie waited patiently.in the wings awaiting his dream job managing the Saints but despite very average results he was overlooked in favour of continuing with Ralph HASSENHUTTL.I cannot help but wonder if this will prove to be a fatal mistake by the Club especially. at this late stage of the season (with nothing to lose)when Ralph leaves deserving young players on the bench in favour of much older players who havan’t performed in addition to those who have noticeably lost half a yard in pace.We understand that not much can be done about the Central Defence until Summer transfers but Ralph STILL apparently does not know his best team to date regularly changing and fiddling ( like Nero) with team selection while the Club burns!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE. What a fabulous result with the Club’s takeover and future prospects therein. As per SaintGGsy recent post I tend to absolve GAO for lack of investment as the Chinese Communist Government imposed severe restrictions on any funds leaving China. However it appears the SFC now has a much brighter future and with Ramus Andersen involved at the helm which may result iin Ralph’s overall responsibilities being diluted but allowing him more time to concentrate on fine tuning the Team to achieve better results.Failure in this respect and Ralph may well be looking over his shoulder in the direction of Brentford FC.!

It appears a different ball game at the club now with the new Owners/Administration begin to tighten their grip on affairs none less than installing their handpicked experienced and motivated NO2 which would negate any fears of disquiet or under achievement from Ralph as they would probably be covered both in the Short Term and Long Term if necessary.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT. Is it just pure COINCiIDENCE or mere FANTASY or am I reading the TEA LEAVES with a pte-season friendly arranged against Villarreal who are currently managed by the very successful UNAI EMERY (who has also managed VALENCIA) and our very own NEW LEAD COACH who has previously coached YOUTH TEAMS at both VALENCIA AND VILLARREAL that a possible combination partnership could be re-ignited at ST.MARY’S should Ralph continue to TANK?

Whilst we don’t know exactly what goes on behind the scene I would imagine that the Director Of Football would have the final say with nominating new signings which would be a relief because Ralph appears (according to reports tends to seek interest I from familiar players of yesteryear the likes of Ings,Broja Minamino etc. and retains the ‘Old Brigade’like McCarthy,Stephens,Long and Bednarek (subject to change).Surely having a close call last season a clean sweep is called for with an opportunity to turn over a new leaf with a complete new plan or perhaps our new Lead Coach will be charged with this responsibility?

More Great News Continues! Well Done Matt Crocker,Martin SEMMENS and SFC Owners. for securing the services of New Lead Coach RUBEN SELLES from FC Copenhagen. His record indicates he is THE BUSINESS.This shrewd appointment by the Board combined with the anticipated arrival of several key Players will surely elevate our future performances and League position significantly plus offer Ralph the required help in making crucial on-field decisions. So Welcome Aboard RUBEN and much success and enjoyment at SOUTHAMPTON FC.
