Poor window for us we needed a LB and ST and brought in a CM and RW. We did keep KWP tho.

We were on our limit for loan players in matchday squad and because Holgate and his representatives delayed signing for Sheffield Utd, wedidn’t have time for another loan. I think the board have learnt a financially painful lesson about panic signings, but for Lavia, Jwp and Livramento the club would be in financial ?. Loans make sense, take Downes for instance. We would have to pay 12 million for him plus 50,000 a week salary ( match his existing contract) that is 25 million over 5 year contract, we paid million loan fee and 30k of his wages equaling 2.5 million, a saving of 2.5 million a season. I know sometimes you can turn a profit on transfers but those days are becoming increasingly difficult unless you buy young players and blood them straight away, we can’t jeopardise possible promotion by changing the current squad in making risky signings. The club also has to balance the books, it owes a lot of money to many clubs for signings made in the last 4 years.

err can we sign some player please if all of these rumours are correct we are short in everywhere. We need 2 midfielders, a centre back, and striker. we are not getting a goalkeeper and if McCarthy want to leave I will take him anywhere he wants.

Although he misses 50% of one on ones, I would keep Adams as he will score freely in the championship. Let his contract run down because if we buy a striker for 10-15 million and he struggles we’re back to square one. Really want to see Mara given a 6 game run moving AA to the left. A front 4 of AA Tella Alcarez and Adams/ Mara surely will score 50 goals+, Edozie Sam Amo and one more attacking midfielder on bench/ covering. Centre back unless ABK stays, one defensive Midfielder and you would have thought that side should be top six.

All of Their goals could have been stopped if we had a DM in the side or defender who can head a ball. The first goal for them not closed down in midfield and KWP out jumped on back post he is not going to win a header. Second goal not closed down in midfield a DM would be blocking the edge of the area. 3rd goal no one marking from midfield, and we concede from a set peace again. 4th goal is poor defending should be able to control a football and pass out of defence. This will happen all season all teams in the Championship will cross the ball and be good at set pieces. Need a DM in the team and more organization for set pieces. Very entertaining game and was great to see us score goals.

All basic football . very basic!
While we have sold the best of our CBs we have left ourselves with the two who make the most mistakes.
Like to see Lyanco get a game.
As for DM . fans comment that we should never have sold Romeu but he was caught out of position every game, plus awful at tracking his man.
We need to get back to the basics. I really don’t know what’s going on?
We have a superb attacking line and a fast and dynamic midfield. but they are exposing our defence.
Our current formation would work IF the players did their job .
when not attacking, mark an opponent and track and opponent and stand goal side of the opponent, not arrive on the scene late (kwp) and try and stop a goal from behind!

maybe need this Charles Kiddy to play in midfield where he is supposed to play. he can head, defend, and pass. Drop Armstrong from midfield.

really enjoyed the way we played on Friday we will get better at playing this high possession football and this season we will be favourites in most games so will have to break teams down. (unlike other seasons when we were counter attacking) .My biggest worry is now set peace's and corners we are very light weight in terns of players who can head/ defend. (JWP, Alcaraz, Smallbone, KWP, Manning) not going to head away a corner or free kick.
