Southampton are looking at 4 signings this summer to show a statement of intent that they want to be in the champions league. These are Rafa Silva, Thomas Vermaelen, Tim Krul and Romelu Lukaku. The players making way will be all players sent out on loan this season as well as Guly, Hooiveld, Gazzaniga and Osvaldo

1.) Where did you read or hear this?

2.) Silva might be a possibility - but he's in the Portugal WC squad, so his stock might take off in a few weeks. Doubt Saints could afford the wages let alone the transfer fees for the other three.

And who's going to want to join a sinking ship, without a manager, selling all their best players?

3.) Guly is out of contract isn't he?

4.) They sound like great signings except for Krul would much rather sign schmichael
Vermaelan is wanted by united apparently and rafa silva is wanted by a few clubs
Lukaku I've heard could be going to atletico Madrid
so would be hard to think we would get any

Southampton are currently compiling a short list of candidates to succeed Pochettino. Early front runners are Bert Van Marwijk, Murat Yakin, Marcelo Bielsa, Frank Rijkard and Steve Mclaren. In my opinion any of these could do a good Job.
