Saints are reportedly looking at Porto and Senegal defender Abdoulaye Ba, 22, on loan. Villa also interested. £400,000 loan fee.

1.) Why would we need him?

Lenny

2.) Hmmmm. 5'5" player scored with a free header in the box. just an observation.

3.) Back up for 'injury-prone' luke shaw? Danny Fox doesn't have half the quality required

4.) Seen it, its in the paer. They make up stuff. Cheers for posting it anyway.

5.) Targett and Clyne are enough cover for left back, comment about the 5 ft 5 player scoring, mistakes happen, no need to change the defense around because of it, just learn from it, don't see us getting another defender in, especially on loan

6.) Nah we don't need him.

Lenny

7.) He plays centre back!

Koeman will decide who he wants at the club. He is a strong leader, highly respected and decorated as a player and coach. Any player that wants to leave Saints now is either a fool or a breadfan. Koeman will instil a steely determination in our players and give them the belief to progress as individuals and as a team. He also has a great track record with nurturing young talent and has provided Manchester United's new manager with several excellent players at the World Cup. I am genuinely excited by the prospect of Koeman coaching Saints. No matter who leaves or joins. Onwards and upwards

As long as we keep playing football the same way with the same commitment and with the same squad we can only improve. The only problem is, we'll probably lose a couple of great players if a strong manager isn't appointed promptly. Let's hope we get a Koeman or a Yakin in soon.
