Southampton could be set to sensationally end their summer of woe with a £70m spending spree with the money brought in from their countless player sales, according to the Daily Mail.
The Saints are lining up a triple raid on Manchester United as part of this quest to bring in replacements for their departed stars, with Javier Hernandez, Ashley Young and Wilfried Zaha believed to be their main targets.

Please God don't let us buy Ashley young, even if he did score a couple goals against Real Madrid last night that cannot make up for his last few seasons of utter garbage.

6.) Ok so we penny pinch on players in areas we desperately need but want to pay 70m for these 3 trollops. I highly doubt it.
7.) Schelotto's first season in Serie A was very successful, he was quick and decisive, able to dribble past most players and retain the ball. After that season he moved from Parma to Inter and was a complete flop, he played poorly for a season until he was loaned back to Parma last season.
Neither myself (very positive) or other Inter fans (quite positive) cannot say anything good about him. He could become a brilliant player under Koeman but I doubt it.
(In comparison Schelotto had a similar career to Ashley Young - performed very well in the Aston Villa of Italy & then when he moves to their Manchesyer United he has lost his spark.)

10.) I agree uthmaann but he plays CM a position we do not need to strengthen unless Shneiderlin leaves and Redmond plays on the wings, a position we need a fast young player like him to fill
11.) How can anyone disagree with the original poster. Rumour is That We are linked with A Manchester United Raid, that is the rumour, This is a Rumour Forum, make a comment if u think the Rumour has no substance, if u can write English, do u agree Eds or am I massively mistaken?

I've just seen that Bruce has bid £14 million for welbeck as a replacement for long, if rather have welbeck let's just go with him instead
1.) Unfortunately I think it's to late now we have confirmed the signing of Long.

I much prefer Long to Welbeck. I've never seen what Welbeck offers as either a striker or a left winger TBH. Long at least brings determination and extraordinary energy, even if he's a bit short in the pure talent department.

It does wind me up when we target someone, mess about with silly bids and then a big club come along and just offer the asking price and seem to get the player, why do we do it especially as we have the cash. Another note I see Townsend is not wanted, I think he would be a good signing. Why did we not get Rojo especially as we have reportedly spend £12 million on long which I think is a joke.
1.) We didn't get Rojo because Saints are'nt a massive club like Man utd. We also can't pay him the wages which Manchester United can offer. that's it in a nutshell.
2.) We didn't get Rojo because his agent owns 3/4 of him and didn't want to sell it to saints, our bid for the clubs 1/4 was accepted
