Southampton will struggle at Newcastle. The best they can hope for is the same pattern of play as at Ipswich.
We do need a front man to back up Pelle. Someone like Rickie Lambert, who can take the pressure off Pelle.
We will miss Morgan and Big Vic as we did in December when Spider was out injured.
In the circumstances the best form of defence will be attack

I totally agree gtsaint, I don't think we can be lucky enough to get a team to play so poorly as Ipswich did the other night. I know we stuck to our task and all that but we never really look like scoring and the opposition won't be worried about pushing forward when we have very little up front. I hope Fraser has had some kicking lessons this week, he has been very awful recently. TV game again so it's bound to be a total non spectacle so we can hope for the best.

We can still put out a decent side at Newcastle. Cork should be available, same back 4 as against Man.Utd (if no other injuries from Ipswich).
Plenty of other good midfielders such as JWP/Davis/Reed and still have Long/Pelle and Elia as attacking options (with or without Tadic). Would have liked to see Elia have more time to bed in but sometimes a player can see he has an opportunity to grasp and really goes for it.
Then two weeks gap before Swansea at home. Our injuries could have come at a much worse time and we still have a couple of weeks left of the transfer window.
