Not keeping Jack Cork may be the first mistake Koeman makes. I will be sad to see Jack leave.
Not at all, unfortunately he's got two teammates in Wanyama and Schneiderlin who have kept him out of the team. Then he picked up the injury versus Arsenal in December allowing Harry Reed to show us he's more than capable as cover. Remember Saints had offered Cork a contract but as it stands we cannot give him the game time he is looking for at this point in his career. Simple as that, it's a shame but it's come down to what the player wants.

not a mistake at all. There's a reason why Poch did everything to avoid playing him and now Koeman is doing the same. He's massively overrated by some fans. Reed does just as well, if not better
other players started the season with a year left on their contracts (yoshida for one) and were offered new deals way before Cork, there has to be a reason for that too. It's not that the club isn't organised enough to offer contracts, JWP being a good example, the club offer contracts to players who work hard and show a bit of desire to play for the club - Cork's only desire is to moan to his dad and the echo when he gets replaced with a better player, rather than working harder and forcing his way back.
Saintysaintsaint you are completely wrong, Cork has been brilliant every time he has played for us this season, if he wasn't working hard enough he wouldn't have been offered a new contract at all. Poch didn't do everything to avoid playing him, he started behind Wanyama in the pecking order before establishing himself as a key player that season and that's why he was voted 3rd in our player of the season awards, he will be very much missed

literally as soon as Wanyama's leg had healed he was back in the team, way before he had even regained match fitness, some rumours say before his leg had even fully healed(which led to the hate for him on here) Poch didn't rate Cork and neither does Koeman, he'd rather play Alderweireld in his position. There has to be a reason for that
he got offered one right at the end of December (Yoshida and co, all at least a month before hand) and by the sounds of it, Cork's offer wasn't a very good one - He may as well have not had one. Sounds more like a ploy to get max money for him rather than wanting him to particularly stay.
Voted 3rd, by fans, who massively over rate him. Even that popularity has slipped over the last few months, they've seen how good Wanyama really is and none would start Cork ahead of him, they've Reed in the team and most prefer him, they've seen why everyone calls him 'captain sideways' and they agree
