Wanyamas fathers interview in the evening times looks promising for the saints hopefully his dad has talked some sense into him and told him its an offer he can't refuse

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Desparation is kicking in

Agree0 Disagree0

So desperate in the middle of the Premiership. How's league 2 in a tin hut?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you all react to people like the poster above? You all seem to feed the trolls!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he was implying that Wanyama is getting desperate, not us

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh, nothing wrong with saying desperation is kicking in. Obviously Wanyama expected other offers to materialise that haven't, and so he's desperate to seal a move to southampton as it's probably the best available.

People are so cagey and defensive. Chill out, not everyone is a skate.

Wanyamas dad has come out nd said in his own words "I expect my son to make a sober decision in the coming days" is this a sign his dad has told him that the offer he turned down from saints was stupid to turn down {Ed003's Note - or maybe he has been in the pub}

Muniesa signs for stoke on a free at 21 years old must of been worth a gamble for the future. Come on saints we are being left behind

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not a great player. Very feeble and will never adapt to the BPL in my opinion but he is still young. Lovren is a far better signing. How are we being left behind? The transfer window only opened yesterday!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the point about being left behind is that the young lad has won the U21 European cup. He's only 21 and has been picked up on a free.

Not your standard English centre half, but a very talented footballer and would fit very well in our system as a player to pass the ball out from the back.

Not bad for free.

Agree0 Disagree0

He has played 5 times for the U21's and has been playing in Barca's B team. We know Barca do not let go of talent which they deem to be world class. Muniesa is a good footballer technically just like most Spanish players but in the BPL you need a lot of strength and guile. That's something the lad definitely does not have. Trust me. he isn't cut out for the Premiership.

Agree0 Disagree0

Signed for stoke

Alright lads, Nicola Cortese here, Mauricio Pochettino will be sacked in the coming days after he was seen to be admiring one of Matt Le Tissier's goals, muppet. His replacement will be James Corden, top manager. Also, Rickie is on his way to Scouseland and Luke Shaw is off to Chelski. Finally, we will be bringing in Lionel Messi to partner Artur Boruc who has asked to play up front. bants

Believable0 Unbelievable0

16th?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Was this an answer to the question "in a quiz against 15 one-year-olds, where did you place?"

Agree0 Disagree0

I wasn't aware we were playing 'If this is the answer, what is the question?'

Is it what would be a good result for Portsmouth in league 2?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the post was looking at the one below. no one in 16th

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Southampton will finish in between 7th and 5th. (Europa League?)

Agree0 Disagree0

On the South Coast, where do Portsmouth rank in size of football club?

Agree0 Disagree0

Pompey minus 50

just I thought but would guys be happy with this table at the end of next season, By the way i'm being realistic here.

1st) Chelsea
2nd)Man City
3rd) man utd
4th)Spurs
5th)Liverpool
6th)Arsenal
7th)Everton
8th)West brom
9th)Southampton
10th)Norwich
11th)Swansea
12th)Villa
13th)Fulham
14th)Cardiff
15th) Sunderland
17th) palace
18th)Hull
19th)Newcastle
20th)Stoke

I see stoke going down and Newcastle this season and I reckon it will be a closely fought relegation battle between all 5 clubs (between 16th place and bottom) with only a few points in it at the end of the season :) this is just my opinion if you disagree with any just say where you think teams will finish

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You missed someone out mate, no 16 is missing!

Agree0 Disagree0

Disagree entirely. Not got time to fully critique, but two big points:

Arsenal below Spurs and Liverpool? They're quite keen to sign big this window, and it's their big chance to close in on top 3 due to the manager roundabout going on. Can't see them slipping to 6th.

West Brom losing Lukaku, will be lucky to get top 10, let alone best team outside the 'big 8'.

Stoke and Newcastle will hover around relegation, but won't prop up the rest of the table.

See no reason Swansea will drop to 11th next season, they played very very good football whenever I watched them last season, and they shouldn't lose many players (unlike last season) and Laudrup is smart in the transfer window.

Thoughts?

Agree0 Disagree0

Norwich and swansea will finish above
southampton
both of them are making some good
signings
southampton getting lleft behind again

Agree0 Disagree0

Your missing west ham only 19 teams suppose west ham could slot in at 16 th

Agree0 Disagree0

Bottom 3 -Hull
Southampton
Norwich

Agree0 Disagree0

Ermmmmmm West Ham?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd say most likely bottom 3 is Hull, Sunderland and Fulham based on current squads. Sunderland seem to be losing out a fair bit so far this window and without Mingolet they could be in real trouble. Fulham will struggle with ageing players too.

West Brom are too high and will struggle next season a bit more without Lukaku. Although will probably still be a top half side.

Everton may struggle in the post Moyes era. Could drop significantly or maybe push on. Nobody really can know what effect that will have yet so 7th really would be a stab in the dark with them.

Arsenal I think are going to improve this season and make that top 6 incredibly competitive with potentially any taking the league title.

Just to point out Newcastle not likely to go down and Swansea are likely to finish top 10 at least.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with above post saints do seem to bee really slow in the market. Don't agree they will be relegated has to be hull, palace and possibly fulham.

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt Newcastle will get relegated, I reckon Stoke, Cardiff and I'm gunna go for Fulham, not sure why but just got a feeling they won't do so well this year with an aging squad. I don;t think Everton will be as good, I don't think Martinez will get the same that Moyes got out of them, I reckon title will be close and like this:

1. City
2. Arsenal
3. Chelsea
4. Man Utd
5. Liverpool
6. Spurs
7. Saints
8. Everton
9. Swansea
10. Newcastle
11. Villa
12. Norwich
13. West Brom
14. West Ham
15. Sunderland
16. Hull
17. Crystal Palace
18. Fulham
19. Cardiff
20. Stoke

Agree0 Disagree0

My wish list, messi, Ronaldo, roony, neymar

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not going to try to predict the whole league - too many signings still to be done, so I'll reserve my judgement till later on. However, I will go out on a limb and state that we will get approximately 55 points. This should place us around the 8th in the league, and hopefully just outside a UEFA Cup place.

If we sign some of the potential players previously listed I could see us ending up with a euro slot, but I feel that might be a step to far with a squad with too many weaknesses - look what it did to Newcastle last year.

As for relegation, I believe Palace, Stoke, and Norwich will go down.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why the overated rooney?

My Southampton wishlist.

Going on rumours, I'd hope the following to come through.

- Wanyama (£12m)
- Banega (£10m)
- Sinclair (£5m)
- Damiao (£18m)

Think that would be a world class squad. Possibly needing to add a defender or two in January.

Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sinclair was just complete fabrication

wanyama still a possibility if the agent issues have been resolved, but doubt it very much.

banega - maybe.

damiao - can't see it and i'm not convinced he's worth it. not a great scoring ratio.

Agree0 Disagree0

My wish list.

Viktor Fischer
Insigne
Wanyama

with cheap Cover for Clyne and Shaw. and ill be happy with that, very happy with that

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do we need two DM? We need 1 max, I'd rather Banega or Nainlagon than Wanyma, rest would be class

Agree0 Disagree0

Id like us to. sign
Douglas costa
Banega
Lukaku
Echiejiellie I think its spelt LB

Just been down the co-op and bumped into jimmy the bloke from the burger van outside at Mary's. It's thought an signings will be made by Friday.

4 signings expected. 2 man city players, jolean lescott and Scott Sinclair. And it's thought an African will help spearhead are attack with Richie next year as Nigerian Randy martins and Abdul majeed the Ghanaian are high on a list

BOB THE BOMBER :-

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I just bumped into Gavin from Autoglass.

He just confirmed that we will be signing Banega, Wanyama, Hooper, Austin and Damiao on Friday.

I just bumped in to your old English teacher and he confirmed the rumour that you have no grasp of the English language. 100% true because I made it up myself!

i have been led to believe Southampton have sounded out Demba Ba's agent to gauge possible interest in a move to the South Coast.

From what I have been told, the club are considering making an offer of for both Ba and John Obi-Mikel 15m for the pair.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Absolute nonsense-why would we pay good money for Chelsea's cast offs?

You should concentrate on your own team and get a life.

Saint Martin

Agree0 Disagree0

Mikel is simply awful

Agree0 Disagree0

Both out of Southamptons lge, deluded

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if they are out of our league I wouldn't want them they wouldn't get in our first 11. too high wages for how good they are

Agree0 Disagree0

Ba is not out of our league, IF he stays fit he could be a first teamer, big if though. About at our level TBH, don't want us to take a big risk on his fitness though, I think a contract that could suit both parties could be made.
Obi is a different story as although he can run lots he does not read the game that well, he would be a definite "back-up" player. Definitely below our league (current league not target, overpaid & overrated).

Saints still looking at Banega but face competition from Napoli

Wanyama sacking his agent is a load of rubbish. Clearly someone playing to much football manager. He will be leaving Celtic and will end up at a club likely to be Liverpool.

DB to Saints as well is a internet myth. More likely destination is Newcastle.

Saints do have a number of targets both in Spain and Italy where both Cortese and Pochettino both have good relationships. IMO Ince would have been an obvious choice to look at but his move to Cardiff looks most likely.
