Saints have been a breath of fresh air for English football, great to watch and giving English youngsters the chance in the top flight just hope they can keep it up and fly the flag for Hampshire.

Thoughts with Jay Rod tonight, hope that injury isn't as bad as it looks, looked like he was in a lot of pain too. Such a shame as he's been having such a fantastic season, didn't realise till last week that he was the 4th highest scorer in the division! The result was hard to take and it all changed around a shocking decision from the lino, as Silva is clearly offside, if he can't see that he shouldn't have a job, then it all went down hill. I think maybe they game could've been different had that been ruled out, as we were well on top then but oh well. Thought Cork had an excellent game. The penalty in the 2nd minute was debatable as there was contact, but never enough to go down. I think this shows our lack in depth, so IMO a keeper and attacking mid in particular need to come in, either from transfers or the academy, I think Omar Rowe, Loyd Isgrove, Sam McQueen and Jake Sinclair are all playing well for the under 21's/or out on loan, so hopefully next season some will step up! On to Cardiff then!

Not sure the Man City result showed up anything we didn't already know: the goalkeeping situation is dire, Fonte's a liability - how many penalties/goals has he been responsible for now this season?

And without Rodriguez, the side has no pace going forward whatsoever.

Tough result to take, given how well Saints played in the first half only to have no luck either with Rodriguez's injury or the utterly incompetent officials, but they've just got to take it on the chin and try and address those glaring deficiencies in the summer somehow.

Here's hoping it's just a ligament strain for Rodriguez. A tear could be 9 months out.

Thought we played well in first half. but our keeper was bad. not just bad but. amateur. pub league quality. we need another decent keeper. and as for fonte. not good. best wishes to ja rod. soon as it happened he knew it was no brazil

I don't think Fonte's even given as many away as lovren. He's been great this season, another CB is needed as he probably won't be able to keep this level up for the long term

Gazzaniga has the potential to be a great keeper, he's a decent shot stopper,. his control of the area is weak, but that and some of the mistakes he's made come down to inexperience, don't forget he only played half a season of league 2 football before adkins bought him. He needs a full season of football somewhere else before anything.

J-Rod is very unfortunate, hopefully it's nothing too serious, we all thought Lovren, Ramirez and Cork we're going to be out for months but they were back relatively quickly, hopefully Jay is the same. Nice from Hart to come straight into the saints' dressing room after the match to see how he was doing. We've got decent pace in Ramirez and Gallagher, it just depeneds whether MoPo trusts them to play 90 mins every week possibly for the rest of the season

Soft pen, never enough contact to go down, BLATANT OFSIDE, if he can't see that he must be blind, it's an inexcusable decision and well Gaz has no confidence, thought he made a couple of good saves towards the end, saving Negredo's one on one and the Navas save at the near post, I think potentially he could be a good keeper, but he needs to go out on loan for a season to get regular football and build up his confidence, actually thought his distribution wasn't bad either when he was confident enough not to kick it out of play, but losing Jay was the main thing and it's such a shame as he has been brilliant all season and really has surprised me by has improvement, deserves a world cup place and I hope he's back ASAP.
