Does anyone know what the financial package is with the Veho sponsorship deal?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Better than aap3, around £1-1.5 mil a year

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair play to veho and the club for supporting local businesses but i'm a little underwhelmed I presumed obvious wrongly the whole strategy behind new board was to branch out world wide and explore untapped ventures for commercial revenue etc and surely by this a bigger and more lucrative sponsorship could of been sourced, is this down to new board not having much clout if so a little worrying for future, maybe its me being negative but after being saints fan for 30yrs I know anything is possible

Agree0 Disagree0

^ Veho are world wide brand and they're massive in Asia and the middle east (had a job offer from them once, had to be fluent in Arabic though).

They're more of a specialist electronics brand, which is why a lot of fans won't have heard of them but they're a pretty solid sponsor to have

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree I've loved saints all my life & ill be holding back renewing my season ticket until they prove that the club aren't going to sell off the family jewels (again) and miss the oppitunity to push on just like they did after the cup final and lost the the wee man as a manager and the same will happen with poch.

I would be really really disappointed in saints if we let any of our decent players go also doesn't set a good example to our future stars. I think if we did sell our future then pocho would see out his contract and go also. Personally I will not be renewing my season ticket until I see how things unfold I won't be putting my hard earned money into the owners pockets if they make silly decisions.

{Ed002's Note - Players come and go, that is the nature of the business.}

Lallana has said he wants to continue to grow with the club, Shaw said he'd be happy to stay and Les Read has said none of the speculation is true, Pochetino wants to know the ambitions of the new board to ensure it matches his for the next few seasons, if there ambitions and aims are in line I'm sure he'll commit so we can stop worrying about it!

Agree0 Disagree0

Players come and go but we renew our season tickets this month, come august 4 or 5 players are sold like the guy has said there could be big changes, it could be £737 gone on watching the subs. Let's just see how committed the club let's face it with tv money and crowd and shop revenue they must be taking in 120 million without sponsorship, all right if your in on it.

Agree0 Disagree0

'Money spent on watching the subs'

Don't buy one full stop then. I'm sure someone else would love that ticket and the opportunity to support their TEAM. Surely the name on the front is more important than the name on the back? Support the team, no one is bigger than the club and no one is irreplaceable.

This summer will be good for one thing atleast, it'll sort the real fans from the plastics

Agree0 Disagree0

Take the top 3 players out of any team and it takes a long while to replace them. Myself I don't think saints will be the same team without lallana but let's hope he stays, everyone keeps telling me we are one of the richest owners as has been said are they committed. You couldn't blame any player going for champions league football, there will never be another la tis loyalty.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just watch the players run round the pitch Sunday, the bigger the wave the bigger the move, the party's over now the reality of next season, those players Have put Southampton on the map let's just hope they keep the team together.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sure that whoever you
would have been sat next to you would be grateful to you for not renewing.
Do you think all the Arsenal fans gave up their tickets when Nasri or Van Persie were sold?

Of course we want to keep our best players, but if Adam wants to leave. Then I applaud him on the loyalty he has already shown us. I would applaud him during the World Cup and whenever he came back. You're being naive and spoilt if you think these things do not or will not happen.

However, it is your money to do with as you please. Just think you will feel a little envious walking past the ground on a Saturday hearing fans cheer one of the plethora of other wonderful players' names as they score!

Agree0 Disagree0

Makes me laugh when people say Le Tiss was loyal. The man himself told us at a dinner the only reason he stayed at saints was because he just married his ex wife and she refused to move to London, even though he had already agreed personal terms with spurs!

Agree0 Disagree0

Would never be surprised if poch goes to spurs he will be back for lallana he's is that why Liverpool want to get in first.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but I have to take issue with Ed2 over his comment that players come and go. Do they now. Gerrard has left Liverpool has he and Man U s home grown all fled the coop also did they. Who other than Rooney and th overpriced Fellaini have Everton sold when they did not want to. Get real for god s sake. Saints do not want to sell their players they ve made that pretty clear the only question in my mind is why on earth they haven't sued this or that paper for defamation to be frank. The gutter press for that is what we are talking about here need reminding that freedom of speech comes with responsability attached constant disinformation about a club s players is simply not on and if the club so wished they win in court hands down.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You are correct that there are a few players who have spent their careers with the same club. But sadly you are also a complete cretin.}

to add to the youth posts.
surely natural progression will mean that eventually youngsters will begin to realise that by joining the so called bigger clubs they will not get the opportunity to play first team football unless they are loaned out or wait until they are 22-23 there will obviously be exceptions but there are more players under 23 just sat not playing at these clubs. look at Rodwell as an example. fringes of the England squad, world cup around the corner, big move to man city but doesn't get a look in. frozen out of the England squad and can't really move on because his wages are too high, what a wasted opportunity and he's one of several. we can all name loads of players who made a big move as a young player and failed, but how many other teenagers have actually done it? Rooney and um. most of the teenagers playing in the premiership have come through the youth ranks of their respective teams.
if I was a young player being 'touted' by the big four I would certainly think twice as there are limited opportunities, better to move to a smaller club where the chances of playing are greater and then progress naturally. I don't think that the B team principal would work, restricting players in the actual team might work but it would also increase the value of top quality English players so they would all play for the biggest clubs. IMO natural progression of players making their name at so called smaller clubs will be the way forward. they would invest in youth because they cannot complete with the biggest.

Surely this idea of b teams has been done in the past saints had a team in the combination league and Hampshire league. Can you imagine a talented eighteen year old coming up against a none league clogger and getting injured. As the arsenal manager said young players need to consentrate on skills not have their minds taken over by major leagues. Not to say they will need match practice. Also who can afford to pay to watch more games.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why not play the B team game with the same clubs playing each other either before or after the prem league fixture .

{Ed002's Note - You need to register.}

Any sale will be after the world cup. Selling before would be utter madness in the style of Rupert Lowe!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Depends how quickly they need to clear the massive debt accumulated over last few years
