I'm chuffed for him not the best in the world but credit where it's due he's stuck it out. And the stuff he does off the pitch . he looks like a hilarious guy. hopefully he'll be in and around the club for a long time after playing.

Not the best? The Kelvin Davis that turned down offers from Premier league clubs to stay with a freshly relegated team in League One? The Kelvin Davis that marshalled a defence to play way above their ability to gain successive promotions? The Kelvin Davis that made the PFA team of the season three years in a row? I remember the day we signed him, he'd been a part of the Sunderland side that finished with the lowest ever points total and iirc conceded the most amount of PL goals ever too. Sunderland fans were begging to get rid and I couldn't understand why we had him.

Since then imo he's probably been our best ever signing - at least since the PL has been around. I'll always remember the game vs Leeds where he pretty much single-handedly kept us ahead. That was one of the best displays of goalkeeping I've seen from any keeper in any league. Fully deserves this and I hope he sticks around the club for a long, long time.

I'm not even going to argue how that makes him the best gker ever. I love kelvo on and off the pitch. I didn't realize a statement like not the best gker in the world would lead people to dig out all the great stuff he did.

Kelvin Davis was as big to Southampton as any player ever he helped us become the club we are today nobody deserves a testimony than anyone else thank you super Kelvin.
