Read that as well. Maybe he will push for a move to us! Even if he sees us as a stepping stone only.

Yeah I'd take him for a season or 2 and then put him in the window
I'd be massively surprised if we pull off this one but if we did wow
That would be a sign of intent for the seasons remaining
Games.

So into R5 guys. Carillo played the last 7 mins.

Must win V the Seagulls on Wed. Let’s hope last weeks game against Tottenham and today has put some fire in Saints bellies.

Well he scored two but was outstanding. What confuses me is that we nursed him back to health after a terrible injury and before he was back to his best we sell him and are now struggling for a decent forward. Are we mad we knew he was a class player . Once again today we were all over them but in the last 20 minutes we did our best to let them get back at us. Very confusing. This manager is likely to take us down if we don't do something about it. We could have won by about 3 today without a doubt. I am happy for Claude Puel he is doing well at Leicester which must tell us something. I think he was treated badly by SFC.

Oh come on Chris. He’s not exactly been banging them in this season for West Brom. Yes two goals in one game is great. JWP did that recently. Doesn’t make him a goal machine either. He had time after his injury to prove himself and couldn’t break into the team because the managers thought others were better. When he did get his chances he didn’t take them. Let’s hope our new signing can perform. Let’s also hope we do get Quincy in. New players also tend to up the rest of the teams performance.
On another note reading today Hughes is linked as MPs potential replacement. Not sure whether that’s good or bad.

Ha Ha. SaintChris, that was the perfect example of finding a reason to be unhappy despite a win. J-Rod has scored 4 goals in 23 league appearances for the Baggies this season. I don’t think we can criticise the decision to let him go every time he scores a goal or two. As Cyprus says, we let him go because he couldn’t get regular football and I think all fans agreed it was best for him to go and get first team football somewhere. He would not be the answer to the goal drought. It is a broader problem than simply having one player. let's also not forget that we’ve just brought in a striker who played his first minutes for us yesterday and we’re trying to get someone else in. Rather than pining for one we’ve sold, let's look forward to one we’ve just signed.

If we could’ve had about three goals today, how is that MP’s fault? If chances are being missed, which they are regularly, unless you expect MP to run on and head or volley in every chance going begging, I suggest its more to do with the players missing the chances. That’s why we’ve bought a new forward.

Yes CP is doing well at Leicester, but let's not forget they still have their best two attacking players and a very good goalkeeper. They have had a largely balanced coaching staff since Claudio was at the helm. If we had Vardy and Mahrez last season, would we have performed better in the league under CP? Who knows. Was CP sacked purely because the board were over-ambitious? Maybe. Was he sacked because the fans were unhappy at the style of football and the players reportedly unhappy behind the scenes? Maybe. We don’t know all the reasons and we cannot compare ourselves to Leicester so I don’t know why you’re bothering.

I reckon we should just worry about us and doth our cap when someone who used to be linked to us does well. I'd love to see j rod find awesome form and banging on the door for a world cup place after what happened to him last time round and wish him all the luck ( though not against us) . Nearly every game now is involving ex players or ex managers and good luck to them all yeah I like to check in and see they're doing well but my only concern is saints safety . a cup run would be nice but I'd take league over it all day.

I watched Claud puels team last year at saints and it was boring
Yes he's doing very well at Leicester but I think that he just didn't fit our club or atleast the players we have or had at the time
To be fare to Leicester they have a team that's better than ours which is why they won the league
Un like us they have kept the main nucleus of the team and have added with quality when required
I hope pellegrino learns from his mistakes this season otherwise the inevitable could happen.

I knew when I said what I said I would get hammered. The bit about most of the fans thought it best for JRod to move on amuses me. The board haven't taken any notice at all of us when the majority of us wanted MP to move on. The point about JWP is different we have been looking for a quick decisive forward not another midfield player. J Rod could make us regret letting him go.
