After all our worries over Ralph and his tinkering, our fears are over . good team selection today!
Oh hang on a minute .
Djenepo is playing left wing back .

A goalless draw which means they didn’t score and surprise, surprise - neither did we.

Yes, I know you will be saying hang on it’s a friendly and he’s experimenting but come on, that doesn’t mean you can’t play attacking football and try to aim the ball between the white sticks.

I never hang too much on pre-season, one way or the other, but it hardly instills confidence in the team, or the fans, when all you get is mediocrity and lame excuses.

Had we won 6 - 0 (make that 6 -1), it wouldn’t have meant much within the context of the PL season but surely to God it would have put a spring in our step.

Ralph’s learning curve …

Trying to think of something
Ralph has improved at .
Something the team has improved at …

I’ll be back after a few wines . maybe that’ll help with thinking of an answer .

RH just doesn’t know how to win games, I am really nervous about the season ahead because I honestly think we’re joint favourites for relegation with Bournemouth. We simply won’t score enough goals to win enough games ?

It is only preseason but 1 goal in 3 games is a very worrying sign imo. Little to no chances being created up top. Ralph opting to play with a 5 at the back means he's prioritising a defensive structure over getting players forward.
I'd like to see him swap it up on Monday against Monaco and let our attackers just go for it. I think the only reason Djenepo plays LWB is because we have no one else to play the position atm.

Saintjay, you’re spot on. Bolstering up a defence at the expense of attacking threat will not win football matches. All it means is that you will lose by less.

If we insist on playing that way at Spurs we will be toast. We have to give them something to think about otherwise it will just be a park the bus scenario and normally that doesn’t end well.

It seems Stu is now our most offensive attacker according to match reports from Watford. We all like Stu, but that is not his position.

Given our goal drought (1 in 3 friendlies) and what’s coming out of Ralph’s mouth, I’m thinking he will start with Redmond at Spurs. Please God, I’m wrong.

Is that the same Redmond that didn’t get picked for the tour?
Ralph is a genius! Let’s pick a player who wasn’t considered for the pre season tour!

Wow Pep and co will be panicking wondering what our team selection might be!

As above, Ralph has got better at being worse!
