First time on here lads. Live too far away to watch the Saints, but have supported them for 50 years. Don't dislike Hughes particularly, but why are we playing the same team week in week out. Why hasn't Sims been playing, and please give Emile the armband. One other thing, I played with Nick Holmes and Pat Earle's in the 60's in boys teams, what we have been missing for years is a Nick Holmes.

agree with giving Hojbjerg the armband, would be miles better than Bertrand
Sims is on loan at reading, can't even get in the team there, not sure what he'd do for us exactly.

Pretty much agree with everything you said, but I still think the formation doesn’t work with one person running their socks off up front with no meaningful support. We have got to act quickly.

What most annoyed me about the WH game, was when we attacked we only seemed to have three or at most four players forward, yet WH had six or seven back, that means we had three spare players doing nothing, we were at home and should have pressed harder.

Hi Vick, not on here long, but have been a Saints supporter for nearly sixty years. I haven’t been intending to back Sparky particularly, but over the last five or ten years I have the general feeling that the players (of any team), show little care about the manager, or the club they play for. I think the money has gone to their heads. We have been way up the charts in chances created recently, but apart from putting boots on (and he was a good striker), ;what else could MH do.
Their are many notable exceptions to non caring footballers, and in the past as we know, there have been a few players who would play for the club of their choice, no matter how much they were paid. I don’t think that exists much these days. I only wish luck you our new man (whoever he is), and hope the board put their money where their mouth is and support him, so that we can climb to a realistic position. By the way, I don’t go into hiding, and I love a good debate. Hopefully I have not been offending anyone. Regards to you all. Rick.

How come everyone is going mad about hassle whoever he is, before Hughes got the sack, no one had mentioned him. If it was your millions you were paying out, who would you employ.

The trouble is we all want our manager to be the best, but the better they are (Poch and Kerman), the more likely they are to move up. If they are the opposite, they get the sack. You can’t win unless your club is one of the top few.

Can I start something for a bit of fun. I am old school, and although in know we will never return to the old system of 2, 3, 5, remember the wingers, I am an advocate for high press, and the ability to play from wide, then let everyone else worry about what we are doing, rather than us dealing with everyone else’s formations. I love 3, 5, 2, so that we have defending and overlapping full backs.
McCarthy. Stephens, Maya, Bednarek. Cedric, Emile, Lemina, Armstrong, Targett. Ings and Gabbi. Surely we could do something with this formation.
