Right this is what's going on with marshall. He has said to Cardiff that if he gets a decent bid from southampton or any club he will think about leaving them. so this is the most up to date news about him so far. (saints hurry and sign him)

1.) Yeah they need to sort it out just get him signed. I say offer 10 million so we know we basically have him. boom easy as that just sort it out. everybody knows marshall will be a good signing for the club and just want him signed here with saints. all saints need to do is place that bid. but they don't seem to be doing anything.

2.) Great player always play's well never gives up has fantastic reflexes and an overall great goalkeeper would fit into our squad well.

3.) Offer 10 million for a player with 1 decent PL season under him? Who are we liverpool?

4.) 10m for a 29 year old keeper. NO just NO.

5.) Personally I don't want any player playing for Southampton that doesn't want to be there, Lovren was the one player that I wanted to stay, If he wants to go, See you later! We need to rebuild with players that want to play for the Saints shirt.
I think RK deserves more respect than he's being shown by some of these players.
The clock is ticking, Get shot of these bad apples and trust in RK to sort this mess out.

Don't quite get that 29 for a goalkeeper is a problem. Most keepers are at their best around this age and stay there for several years. Peter Shilton was still playing for England at over 40. When you hear about young keepers they may be great shot stoppers but struggle to boss their area. Marshall is a top keeper and although 10 million is a lot I think we could get him for more like 8.

£10 mill for one season in the prem, was too much, that's how clubs like leeds and ourselves nearly go bust . let's be honest . who was he 12 months ago? bet a lot of us would have said whos he?

10.) In fairness cyberchris, a lot of us would of said Lovren? Who's he? 12 months ago. Now we're asking for 20 mill. So I think 10 mill for a very important position is great value. All the best keepers peak in their 30's, so perfect time to buy! Marshall or Forster, I'd be happy with either. Both great buys.

Who was Luke Shaw twelve months ago? Look what we got for him, 1 proper decent season in PL

13.) 10m would make him the 5th most expensive keeper in football. Arsenal are about to sign David Ospina the colombian playing nice for 3.2m a keeper that impressed at the world cup and reached the QF. Huge sum for keeper of 29. Football is very different to the days of Shiltons era and to even compare Marshall with him is absurd.

14.) Goal keeper should be our last concern atm.

15.) All I'll say is Pter Cech 32 years old, Neuer 28 years old, you wouldn't get Neuer for under 30 million. Your comment about Shilton being from a different era is ludicrous or have the rules of the game changed, I give up.
