Getting really worried that from a few different sources I've heard Tim Sherwood is talking to Saints about being the next manager. In my view this would be a really bad move

And he wasn't too complimentary about us when 'the Poch to Spuds' rumours first started doing the rounds. No thank you Ralph!

Sherwood is going to a top top manager, and obviously now has an awful lot to prove. But my concern with him is how much would he really care about Southampton FC? We have fallen hard and fallen fast with a P*mpey secret agent before. I would leave him well alone it's not worth the risk.

3.) 06 Jun 2014
I don't know much about sherwood, but find it interesting that people rate this guy. He has hardly any experience at all, and I recall him changing avb 4-5-1 to his preferred 4-4-2. Can't see how this would benefit our team, or show any ambition compared to other links, such as koeman, or even magath

4.) 06 Jun 2014
Don't worry, it's just the bookies. He's not being considered.

5.) 06 Jun 2014
I'd almost like this just on the virtue that he's an Englishman and there just aren't many good English managers about. Equally though, if we were hiring a young up and coming manager who's English I'd much rather we took a chance on Eddie Howe. He's been on the South Coast much longer and we already have strong links with Bournemouth. My personal favourites are still Koeman and Magath, but in the unlikely event the Frank De Boer rumours aren't all smoke with no fire, then he'd be my preferred candidate.

6.) 06 Jun 2014
He did have the highest spurs win percentage though, which isn't a bad stat, but I agree would rather the Koeman or someone who suits our style of play more

Just saw rumours that Arsenal are looking at David Marshall from Cardiff. very good keeper but would only warm the bench for the gooners, would be a good addition our the squad. not knocking AB but we have no quality cover & he would get some first team action through the season. Good to see Spider in the French squad. COYR

True about the English managers. We should really be looking at English managers. I think it's a difficult one though. I feel the all the players will need to feel the appointment was ambitious though. I'm not sure any young British managers suit that criteria at the moment. A foreign manager with a name may look ambitious, bit I feel a British manager wouldn't jump at the chance of moving to a larger club. Maybe

Just be nice to have a new manager so we can get on with business before all the frees goes. first thing would be another GK, sell Fonte and get a new Cb,
i would sell Shaw and take that 30m onto the 50 they give me. lukakau for no more than 20 million would still leave 60m - a few decent kids on low wages and the rest I would spend on stadium capacity - if wee need to start paying CL wages then we need to create more revenue - even if we can't fill the seats with adult tickets I would start to get kids in through the gates so they will be are future.

Just looked at current odds. Koeman still favourite at 4/6, but sherwood was best priced at 4-1. That is dangerously low. I personally really don't want this appointment. He has Pompey written all over him. Fingers crossed it's koeman

Bookies change up the odds to encourage betting on outsiders, and ward off people lumping on Koeman, My advice to anyone with a bit of dosh to spare is lump 100 plus on Koeman and earn yourself a cheeky 50 quid or more depending how much you willing to put on

12.) 07 Jun 2014
Heard contract being drawn up and Sherwood will be in place next week, will be perfect for us as clearly KL want's to claw back most of the money spent and he will be cheap, and won't mind selling off players to pay off the debt.

There is a report in the Bola paper in Portugal which says Saints are looking at Vitor Pereira, the Porto coach, don't know much about him except that he was AVB s assistant.Didnt set the world alight at Porto last season either.

Been told by reliable source our chairman is a very good friend of felix magath hence the betting on him as our new manager. Not what I wanted to hear but this source told me the exact day Poccettino would be leaving so I am confident they have inside knowledge.

When in world would an Ice Hockey coach befriend Football manager Felix Magath? Your source was lucky with Pochettino, most people sensed he was off, just slight hope preventing us thinking otherwise
