At Saints shop and swear I saw Pelle getting out of a limo. if not him, it looked very much like him!

Gazcar40

1.) Hope so

2.) 30 Jun 2014 11:43:35
Doubt very much he would turn up in a Limo. Saints conduct transfer business away from the ground in a Little exclusive Hotel in the New Forest

3.) I don't know if I am the only one that thinks there is more than meets the eye with all our prime players leaving. The majority stuck with us through thick and thin even in league 1. Do they all know something we don't? Seemed strange deadline day for season ticket renewals was very early this year. Anybody else suspicious??

4.) Unlikely. Pelle was still training with feyenoord today

5.) 30 Jun 2014 13:03:46
could have believed you until you said limo .

6.) 30 Jun 2014 15:49:13
Fee not even agreed yet, talks have only just started with feyenoord for pelle and also fc twente for dusan tadic. No one will be having medicals in the next few days

7.) When I said limo, I meant a big silver car, not a stretch job. Looked like someone important, around mid twenties, dark hair and mediterranean look. Maybe coaching staff?

8.) New chef.

9.) Maybe osvaldo.

10.) 30 Jun 2014 19:05:54
Have you looked at pictures of him on the interweb to see if it was him perchance?

11.) Absolutely anyone.

12.) Could be pelle's doppelgänger

13.) Definately not Osvaldo unless he has had his hair cut short and shaved his beard off! Checked out pics of. Pelle on interweb and it looked a bit like him.

14.) Guly perhaps?

15.) Guly DePrado coming back? Yippeeee!

Just read reports of Ronald Koeman and brother Erwin becoming Saints next manager partnership! Both with very good managerial experience, having managed top Dutch teams. Thoughts please. Remember the last Dutch managerial pairing?!

All betting on Koeman has been suspended or moved to 1/9 odds, bookies aren't stupid!

The FA should review the way football contracts are issued.

All contracts over 24 months should be honoured by the player and club, with exceptions for career ending injuries that insurances pay off and drastic changes in personal and family circumstances.

A player within 24 months of a contract remaining, may look to leave a club or be sold by a club.

This would put the onus on the player to adhere to the contract they signed, in other words if they don't feel they will be happy at a club for longer than 24 months, they will not sign a longer deal.

Please discuss.

Sounds great in theory, but the suggestion is not the real world and never will be.

2.) 01 Jul 2014 19:15:53
anymore players wanting to leave
just hope ronald koeman and the board tell them they are staying put and going nowhere
i would be seriously pi##ed off if any player goes to skiverpool or spuds
forestsaint

3.) Cant they just make a rule that no ore than 2 players can be transferred to the same Club?!

01 Jul 2014 14:55:16
When it looks like the days of enduring loyalty to one club are over, let us celebrate the dedication to Saints from the likes Matt LeTiss, Nick Holmes, Jason Dodd, Franny Benali, to name but a recent few. Local (sort of) heroes, every last one of them. We salute you. COYR!

Gazcar40

1.) Mentioning Dodd seems a bit unfortunate does it not? Since his dismissal this summer anyway.

2.) Nice sentiment Gazcar40

3.) 01 Jul 2014 23:48:55
I spoke to an Ex-saints player at the weekend who is close to Dodd and it is felt that those who came out and spoke in favour of NC, were earmarked for dismissal at end of season. Not sure how true that is but it was felt the dismissals were politically based.

Is it just me, or is Southampton putting together a bloody good coaching team? 2 England coaches and 3 very experienced Dutch coaches? It shows a very clear sign of intent, don't you think? COYR!!

With all this talk of players leaving, why can't Saints just say "No. you are on long term contracts, you are not going anywhere yet!"? Liverpool did it with Suarez and Burnley has just done it with Ings. Thoughts please.

Gazcar40

1.) Keeping players here against their will would have a bad effect on our squads happiness as the players who want to stay will be playing with players who don't want to be there and may not care as much, I don't know but would you want someone to stay if they weren't 100% committed to Saints? I'm not sure

2.) 15 Jun 2014 16:03:07
Koeman will decide who he wants at the club. He is a strong leader, highly respected and decorated as a player and coach. Any player that wants to leave Saints now is either a fool or a breadfan. Koeman will instil a steely determination in our players and give them the belief to progress as individuals and as a team. He also has a great track record with nurturing young talent and has provided Manchester United's new manager with several excellent players at the World Cup. I am genuinely excited by the prospect of Koeman coaching Saints. No matter who leaves or joins. Onwards and upwards

3.) St Sam. it worked for Liverpool last year with Suarez. They said no. He went on to have the best season in his career. Not saying its right but it doesn't always mean a player won't play well if they don't get the big move they are after.

4.) 16 Jun 2014 14:39:51
nobody is leaving, chill.

5.) It was different with Suarez as he signed a new deal, he wasn't forced to do that was he? Plus the other Liverpool players must know he's he's a bit of a d**k anyway, although he has had a fairly well behaved season for him. Plus Suarez is one of the nest players in the world and there aren't many players out there who could replace him, I want everyone to stay of course but we don't want an unhappy squad and when you go to watch a match, wouldn't you want to watch players who actually want to be there? But anyway hopefully Koeman can convince them to stay and show our ambitions in the transfer market to make them want to stay

We know that Poch likes to do things his way, without bowing to media or such, so does anyone else think that he is just not concerned with all the gossip? He has made it clear recently that he still has one year left on his contract and maybe he sees no rush in signing an extension at this moment in time.

Just looked him up on YouTube and WOW! He will give us the pace, power and attacking threat we need, and he can score goals!

Sounds like Toby A is a cert, otherwise why let one of your only 4 cb' s go?

The Echo says that Koeman was not really that impressed with him anyway, which makes sense as he did not even play him on Tuesday evening!

He only said things on Sky Sports yesterday, and he chose his words very well. He said that things had changed that were not meant to, and he hoped the owner and her people get things right.

I agree, obviously Clattenberg hit the nail on the head about him. Funny that AL reacted so badly. he did not like to be told the truth!
