If we sell Gabbiadini I'm literally done with this club, our most talented striker who just needs the right service which he isn't getting, he is so underappreciated.

If I hear one more person say they're about to be done with this club then I'm done with this club

On a serious note I do agree, Gabbi is our best striker but needs players around him who can provide the right kind of service. His movement is outstanding, and I honestly believe if you put him in the current City or Liverpool team he'd score 20+.

do you honestly think he wants to be here. I cannot believe if he is putting it in, in training the manager thinks someone on a 30 odd game goal less streak was a better option. I don't think he wants to be in England and he is only in the squad as we literally have nobody else. I have said before although I have no proof he wants a move back to Italy his family have not travelled to England this may be wrong but it may explain his performances. Has he even had a shot on target recently?

I agree 0001 he looks down and completely uninterested to be fair I think we should just let him go home.

Gabbiadini is not a striker! He is a right sided inside forward who likes to drift into space from the right flank. He had a wonderful goal scoring spell for us last season but he is not an out and out striker and so struggles to play there. However, Saints only have one out and out striker so Gabbi has been deployed there and frankly struggled. He needs to be on the right of a three man attack. Good luck naming the other two worthy of playing alongside him from our squad as it stands (acknowledging Austin's injury) .

It shows the standard we have up front if you really think Gabbiadini is our best striker! He has never had and continues to never have a good scoring record.
Get a grip People he isn’t good enough. Had a brief purple patch when he joined us but now offers nothing.
Long doesn’t score but as least he drags defenders away to give others opportunities plus he chases everything down. Austin is our best striker and at least takes his chances. We need though fresh blood in that position. A nateural goal poacher and they are few and far between. We do create enough chances but don’t take them with Gabbiadini and long. I’d be quite happy if Gabbiadini left tomorrow.

I think Long has shown recently that he is so much more than a striker and would love to see Gabbi playing with him in and around the box; long is excellent at picking out the pass. As Figo says, who else mmmmmmmmmmmm Simms Long Gabbi,

Gabbi is a striker and a goal poacher. Actually watch him; the guy's movement is outstanding and he is constantly making runs in behind. That's what you look for in a front man. There's simply no service to him this season, and I agree, the runs have stopped and he isn't buzzing quite like he was when he first joined. I can understand this; it's a difficult thing to keep making those runs when you just know the ball won't come.

Gabbi isn't the best striker for us right now given our inability to play the type of football he thrives on. Still, he is the one with the potential and I really couldn't disagree more with whoever it was saying the guy isn't a striker. Watch him, he's a natural poacher and should be playing on the last defender.

Gabbi’s a forward, so he has the ability to make intelligent attacking runs not simply in terms of when to go but where, I totally accept that and I do not think there is another player in our side who is as capable of doing it as well as him. He’s our best attacking player when utilised correctly but I still assert that he’s not a striker. He’s unselfish and likes to roam and find space for himself. He likes to drop deep and collect the ball and feed in other people. He likes to run at opponents and use his pace and skill to beat them. He can cross and shoot and play through balls.

So in my opinion, his skill set is too broad for a striker. Charlie Austin is a striker. He likes to stick to certain parts of the pitch where he is most effective and will, for the most part, look to run and work the ball to ensure he stays where he knows he’s most effective. He is a finisher. A goalscorer first and foremost. Gabbiadini is not that. To call him a striker is too reductive of his many qualities. In that regard, I think we’re entirely on the same page and it would be an awful shame to see him go. In my view, provided he is happy here, we should’ve tried to build our attacking line around his qualities as there is no-one else quite like him.

I see what you’re saying but disagree about him running at people. He doesn’t really do that and he isn’t that fast. I see him more as the Suarez type, he can beat a man sure but he’s a striker who does this by dropping the shoulder and shooting rather than skill and dribbling. Anyways we’re each entitled to our opinion, point is let’s keep him around!

Gabbi is very quick .! reality is he has so few balls to chase!
it is simply down to his lack of service. He needs a Long type player that will read his runs and most importantly play the ball into the right area.
I enjoyed watching the way we played first half against Watford. They
gave us way too much respect and space and we exploited it.
But when they changed their formation/ team . we didn't change a single thing. In fact we tried to play the same open football high up the pitch that we were leaving ourselves exposed!

Completely agree that we and Gabbi need that player to run the game and spot runs from Gabbi, Redmond, Boufal, Cedric, Bertrand etc. but I don't really see Long as that player at all.
