Clyne is not worth 45 million shaw was 18, clyne is 23 and shaw out shone clyne when he was there, he has gone backwards atm but he still has huge potential, 20 - 25 million for clyne i agree with though as a saints fan i wouldn't be happy to sell him at that.
The value of a player is often different to the fee paid especially nowadays with man utds desperate transfer policy. but 20 million up to 35 million is definitely the top and bottom regions of the sort of fee that will probably be agreed. 30-35 million and saints have done very very well.
I think Clyne will regret leaving saints tho if he does shouldn't sacrifice his potential for money look at shaw lovren, lambert and lallana all gone backwards since there moves the only one who looks just as good has been chambers because he's getting the game time but that only because debuchy injured. But the reality is they want the money and who can blame them really if there doubling/tripling/quadrupling there wages. I say i wouldn't move from a club i like for money but who knows till the offer is in your face.
