Pretty much agree with the consensus that Russell Martin is going to fail. Very much in the mould of RH in terms of inflexibility, and already coming out with worrying soundbites.slating the team so early in the season is worrying. We will get a mid table finish this year and no better. Would be understanding of the current situation re transfers if Martin was showing leadership, but he is already playing the victim . Norwich will win by 3 this weekend

Sorry Millertime, I'm on the other page.seeing Burnley dominate the championship last year and get tupped every week in the prem must be so wretched for their fans. If we squeezed into the prem this year, we would keep our egotistically endowed coach and just have a wretched season culminating in a swift return. I think Leeds and Leicester both have coaches that stand a chance at understanding the prem, but we dont. Would rather wait till SR show some real ambition (or sell) and we have a coach who engenders belief. Despite winning runs and playoff placing, diehard RM fans are thin on the ground for good reason

This is going to be a season of false dawns. We will lose 2 or 3, then pick up a couple of wins against bottom half opposition and a "turning the corner" will be hailed. Then we will lose a couple more.
We won't get relegated, but with the current coaching set up, neither will we make the play offs. Once again we have chosen a coach with delusions of grandeur (I'm the new Pep) but without the talent or insight to make things happen.
With RM as coach, we will never get back to the prem. And we have the players to de well. Wonder how long the inevitable coaching exit will take. Certainly too long to salvage this season.

Have to say, having been a fan for 55 years, I hope we get trounced badly on the weekend. All fans know that Jones is an liability and will not survive. The longer this misery goes on the more depressing it becomes. I would take another 9 nil drubbing of it meant this clown was shown the door
