Saints are in for Adrian Lopez from athletico. Apparently arsenal are chasing him but we have said we will pay more than they offer, wenger is a big fan although he hasn't scored much this season, Arsenal were trying to get him in jan but couldn't agree a fee.
1.) Have to say he seems the sort of player who would consider himself above us. I can't see him leaving Athletico unless it's for another side already in Europe rather than one chasing a European spot.
No denying he is a quality player and that we would be a great home for him but I really can't see it.
2.) I would agree under normsl circumstances, but I understand he has a good relationship with ponch, may be that he is one of "those players" that the club hopes that the new management can lure to the club to move us into the next level. Ie Europe?
3.) I don't think he get into the starting line-up infront of falcao and another player that I can't remember the name of, so I think this is really possible.

The ground was built with expansion in mind by, dare I say it, rupert Lowe. The idea was to expand it when we could guarantee more than 18,000 season tickets sold before the start of a season. Apparently they already have the go ahead from the council as it was a condition of the original plan to build the ground there in the first place
Don't see the point in this signing, we have a good no 1 already, what would a loan signing achieve?
