absolutely buzzing about steklenberg joining on loan its pretty obvious that he won't drop bellow a certain leval and quite rightly so he's going to be rejuvinated playing under the guy who gave him his start in the game, what a sighning great stuff

Could be the best signing we've made in a long time if he can find old form. Been a while since we've had a player who's played in a World Cup final in a saints shirt too

1976 V Man Utd. Bobby Stokes slid the ball past Alex Stepney for the only goal of the game. I was there that day and remember it well. Don't remember much of the following 48 hours though. Lol

We needed a back up keeper and Roko must have confidence in MS or he would not have been in at SFC.
That judgement is good enough for me.

If Athletic want £18 million for Toby then we must be close to a deal. I am sure Toby would want to come to SFC as his first choice and even if it breaks SFC transfer record he's proven class.
Also I think Austin would be a great buy . Who would want NFC if there's a choice between SFC and McLaren? Personally he's a much better prospect than Ings IMO.

We aren't close to a deal, we are waiting on a response from Atletico to begin negotiating. Everything else atm is media talk including the £18 million figure.
As for an Austin deal that has been more or less ruled out this afternoon.

The clubs finances aren't quite as 'liquid' as some on here believe (mainly due to the Europa league FFP being much more strict than the prem - max €45 million loss over 3 seasons compared to £105 million over 3 years), don't be surprised if we have to sell atleast one of Clyne/Schneiderlin before we'd be able to spend 18million on Alderwiereld.

Neither are our general finances, everyone including the papers seem to think we are flush as. We are not.
