To mikeysfc. Is that a real rumour regarding Nainggolan with the correct valuation or is this just someone you want us to bring in and you have just guesses the valuation that you believe that he is worth. I would love to have him in the squad but there were reports last year that stated that he didn't want to join us. We apparently offered him the most money out of all the clubs that was linked with him but he doesn't play for money so rejected us. Could still potentially happen but I wouldn't bet on it.

Good player, but with Wanyama, Schneiderlin, Cork, Davies, Ward-Prowse, Lallana and Ramirez all in contention at the moment (Reed just breaking through) I can't see us looking to add to that list. I would also be bold enough to say that I can't see us selling any of the above either!

He'd be an alternative to Wanyama if he was injured, or not performing. In the summer he maybe didn't want to come to a team who'd been close to relegation the season before, but now we look like a team looking up rather than down I would say

is it just me but does anyone else think that lambert isn't playing to great this year. We're not seeing the same player from last year that could hold up the ball and scoring plenty of goals

Agree, whether its because there is more pressure because of his Englnad recognition or change in system since Pochettino took over, he isn't scoring as much or contributing to the game.
I though with Osvaldo coming in he would be harder pushed for a starting spot and would improve but no signs of that. Dare I say it maybe we should start looking for a replacement because he only has a few left in him.

The same Lambert who has scored 6 and assisted 5? He's been crucial this season and is 2 in 2 games, he had 9 last season but with less assists

To mikeysfc, what I think Pochettino was getting at is all of the transfer rumours are regarding our youngsters. How many rumours recently have you seen regarding Shaw or Lallana. I think he was just trying to get the message across to other teams. We are not likely going to sell anyone (maybe only our deadwood). I think you looked into the comment a bit too much and besides, most of our squad are youngsters anyway.

Mikey, good point, but probably just quoted "out of context" in Lambert's case. He's part of the furniture, surely. The question thrown at Pochettino was regarding the Shaw/Lallana rumours. So hopefully Pochettino meant none of our players (the ones who actually play) are going to be sold. for now.
Loved Pochettino's quote about referees not giving Saints as many free kicks or penalty decisions as he thinks we should, because we're young and handsome. A great way of twisting something into his favour. The players' self confidence will be boosted now. Gorgeous Saints!
And one last thing, am I the only one who spotted a little irony when Ramirez gave the Everton fan his shirt? Lovely gesture, really liked him for doing that, must have been great xmas prezzie for the Toffee supporter, but, (here's the irony part, if that) I'm reading into this as more than just a gesture, and more a signal. Translates to me as: "You can have my shirt. I've just scored THAT goal (dodgy keeper!) and I won't be needing this shirt again, because the window opens next week and I'm off to Barcelona!"
Well, maybe Espanyol on loan.
