Lawrenson has us to lose again. Any thoughts on that? As they created more chances at old Trafford.

i thought we were quality at OT and fully deserved our point. Also, our defence is so tight I don't see them getting 2 and us not scoring.

what do others think? Does ed 002 agree or any other eds with my assessment or lawros?

I was just about to post something similar. He's always had a thing about us. I can't understand it. He has to lose or draw almost every match. Someone needs to tell him that his face looks like a melted wheely bin.

Can't stand the sour faced ****

Agree0 Disagree0

Lawrenson is a plum!
Has had it in for us for years!!
Sad old ####

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is lawrenson still on match of the day
he is way past his sell by date
as is hansen

Agree0 Disagree0

When Lawro hasn't a clue about a forecast about Southampton he uses a stock 'cut and paste' 2 - 1 loss scoreline.

Agree0 Disagree0

I love it when Lawro predicts a Saint loss as he's always wrong. When he does predict a saints victory we lose. He's more reliable than Paul the Octopus was. Keep it up Lawro, I hope he predicts we'll get relegated

Hi everyone first of all well done on your great start to the season hope it continues for you. Anyway I was just wondering how Victor Wanyama is handling himself in the premiership tbh I haven't seen much of the football this season due to work etc but as a celtic fan myself i'm hoping he goes and does really well. Hi he is doing well he's had his ups and downs but all in all I personally think he is doing well

Victor is starting to get used to the EPL but the pressing game that Saints play is a challenge to him at the moment. Certainly he is showing good signs of improvement but has a little way to go yet. Winning the ball is obviously his core asset but he also needs to move the ball quickly and accurately to make full use of the movement of players ahead of him. This is improving but there are still situations where he tries to be too expansive and as a result forward movement breaks down. The team, as a whole, is working on this, so he is not alone. There is still some improvement to come and then the side will show not only a mean defence but goals from all areas of the pitch.

He looks good against Fulham, Palace, Sunderland, Norwich. Let's wait till he's faced Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, City etc

Just want to say thanks for the replys and good luck for the rest of the season. Maybe i'll chek up again in a couple of months. Davie C

Interesting to see Danny Higginbotham advice to Stoke for this weekend was that the key to dealing with Saints hinged on how well they dealt with Wanyama.
Okay its only Higginbotham but I still wasn't expecting it.

Agree0 Disagree0

He looked good against Barcelona!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why didn't Chelsea, City, Man Utd, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Milan etc show an interest in Wanyama? He did seem to be waiting for a better offer this summer before agreeing to join Saints. He's the right age so why was there no bidding war for his services?

Agree0 Disagree0

Good question, but who else plays our high pressing game which he is ideally suited for? I guess most big teams want the finished article in his position.

He out Fellaini'd Fellaini when we played Man Utd. So perhaps a better question is why did Man Utd pay £30m for Side Show Bob?
Why did Chelsea loan out Lukaku? Quite simply they are all barkin mad!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why wasn't there a bidding war for Lovren, Jay-Rod and Clyne?

Could it be that Saints are rather smart at unearthing talent?

Cardiff had a bid accepted for Wanyama

I'm guessing that they had question marks about his passing/concentration. Had they had a decent coach I'm sure they'd have gone for him.

. Oh, I forgot, they've all got shed loadds of cash and would rather spend £30m-£40m than £10M.
