I wondered what other Saints fans views are regarding the teams time in Switzerland?
To me it seems like a wasted opportunity to train and prepare for the last leg of the season.

have to admit I was extremely worried about injuries but I think its best to withhold judgement until 3 matches time. could work wonders, the lads should be enjoying themselves rather feeling pressured to get results. time will tell.

A few of our players were looking dead on their feet towards the end of the last few matches so hopefully a bit of R&R will do them good. They still have plenty of time to prepare for next weekend

Our players have been training constantly since July. So more training is required?
A bit of R&R will do them a whole lot more good, physically and mentally. RoKo has stated several times this season that players can over train.
I would suggest we should accept that he does know what he is doing. He has been there, and done it-just trust him.

Just wonder now we are in 7th in the league whether the pressure is off . We have been right up there hanging on for most of the season and although we have taken a bit of a tumble could this be a good thing . We have a better run in than Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham and if we can get some of our early season form back we could make 5th at least and maybe being in catch up may suit us better . We could do this if we can replicate our form of just 2 months ago, if we can't then as is always stated where you end up at the end of the season is what you deserve . Just have a feeling we could get the last available place for the Europa League and if we did that would be a great achievement .

It's very likely the best way Koeman can motivate the players for the final ten games, no pressure, just play some good football and end the season positively. It will be impossible for all four of Arsenal, United, Liverpool and Spurs to not drop points, there's a number of fixtures to be played between those teams yet, and we are still close enough that a string of wins could put us into a strong position again.

I think that SaintsFan29 hit the nail on the head. We need to put together a string of wins not only to boost confidence but to put pressure on the teams around us. Out of the top 7 teams we probably have ( on paper ) the easiest run in so I would like to see us getting 18+ points from our remaining games. I think that could be enough to get that final European place. I think our cup displays this season were mediocre at best so a strong finish in the league would be nice. It might also help us keep the itchy feet players if we had European football to look forward to next season
